Title: Reliable connectivity for rural homes
Review: When living in the countryside, finding a reliable internet connection can become the modern-day equivalent of striking gold. Without access to typical broadband, I turned to this device, intrigued by its promises of transforming cellular signals into a robust Wi-Fi network. The setup was straightforward, and before I knew it, devices throughout the house were humming along to the rhythm of steady internet. The real testament came when every family member’s device was connected; gone were the days of jostling for bandwidth. Everyone could stream, browse, and work simultaneously without a hiccup. The robust exterior means I don’t fret over wear and tear – it feels ready to withstand years of use. The flexibility of antenna adjustment was a thoughtful touch, accommodating my need to optimize signal reception without a fuss. While no device is without its occasional hiccups, any dips in performance were rare and resolved with ease, maintaining a stable digital lifeline to the outside world.

Title: Better than most……..poor support on SD & Sata SSD & USB3 setup in openwrt os
Review: So having used it since Dec 2023, it’s given up.Points to note, poor support from the manufacture no feedback so on this point I would not buy from them again.Had a problem with lebara mobile network they changed from using orange to SFR mobile network so 4g connection reduced drastically, stay clear of lebara if you live in the country side.27/08/2024So overall don’t buy as its poor longevity, poor customer support

Title: Range Over Speed
Review: In the box you get the router, 6 antennas, CAT5E cable, 12V 2A US power supply, 3-pin power adaptor, SIM card adaptor kit, and some mounting plates/screws. The router has an industrial design with an all metal housing for heat dissipation and durability. The included US two pin power supply and 3-pin adapter are not of good quality, but will do the job. The router has three types of antennas which need to be installed, you need to check and line up the 3G/4G, 2.4GHz and 5.8G antennas with the labelled ports on the router.Setup of the router was plug-in-and-play. I inserted my EE SIM Card into the router, attached the antennas and plugged in power. I connected my laptop over an ethernet cable and had network connectivity straight away, the router recognised the mobile network immediately. The routers Wi-Fi configuration does come completely unsecured out of the box, so you will need to go into the settings and setup your desired passwords etc for security.The router seems to prioritise range over speed – I got more than passable speeds of around 25-30 Mbps download and 5-10 Mbps upload when connected to 4G with around 80% signal strength. Unfortunately, this pales in comparison to the network speeds I can get on my iPhone, which reaches around 150 Mbps on 4G and up to 300 Mbps on 5G. Considering this unit is much larger and has multiple antennas, I was hoping to see faster speeds, but you have to remember mobile network signal transmitters are optimised for smartphones, and it’s going to be the range and reliability of the connection that will differ as mobiles drop and re-connect to mobile networks much more often.The online GUI interface of the router is quite simple but has extra features I was not expecting like QoS settings. The Online firmware upgrade function unfortunately does not seem to work, and there seems to be no reliable source from the manufacturer on where to download the latest firmware files to upload on the device to upgrade it – not a dealbreaker but may be problematic in the future.Overall, I can see this being a useful router for rural areas where network infrastructure is poor, or for a small business to have as a backup should their regular network access go down. However, there are lots of well known name-brand alternatives on the market that will be able to deliver faster speeds at a lower price which makes this router harder to recommend – if you’ve already tried those and range was still an issue – then this router may be worth trying. Title: Great piece of kit
Review: The build quality is high. It has 2.4 and 5g which work very well. All the controls are via the internet.You can also reboot which I particularly like. That refreshes the connection every day so you get maximum performance. SIM card has a nice spring holder. It also has a usb port and a sd card slot.Overall very good and packs a punch.
