2. Power consumption is very low as the current on WONGKUO security camera is pretty low. Even in cloud days or power strike, the security camera will also last long. For example, if the PIR is activated 20 times, each time record 15s, the camera can last 60days. if the PIR is activated 30 times, each time record 15s, the camera can last 45days.

3. The PIR prompt delay is due to the network reason of the device installation environment. When the device is too far away from the router, the mobile phone is used out of the Internet, the signal is not good, the local network fluctuates, it is easy to cause the PIR detection prompt delay. It is recommended to optimize the network and install the router as close to the camera as possible , Install a WiFi signal extender to keep the camera in a good state of the network, and avoid the prompt delay problem of the camera part due to the network.

The solar security camera via 2.4g WiFi connection, not Bluetooth connection.

The duration of power consumption is related to the activation frequency of wifi camera PIR detection and the duration of real-time monitoring.

Title: Security without the Hassel of Wires
Review: Great device for those who don’t want or can’t run wires for a source of video or power. The camera has a huge built in battery that lasts a very long time, it also has a solar panel which will charge the device. If the cameras battery ever does go flat it can be recharged via the mains and USB. the image quality is excellent as is the video, this camera also has the benefit of two way communication so you can talk to the person at the other end. Its ideal for telling deliver drivers to hold on or deterring thieves. The app simple to use and gives you access to lots of features such as alerts and motion detection. The picture is clear both at night and during the day and the camera is weatherproof. All the fittings are included and it doesn’t take long to setup, the mounts for both the camera and the solar panel are adjustable so its possible to position them at the best angle for you. Really great product that’s so much easier than a wired alternative.

Review: Until a couple of days ago I was very happy with this. Build quality good, functionality good, daytime picture quality reasonably good, night time picture quality ok, set-up fairly simple, ease of use fairly simple, battery life ok, solar panel effectiveness increasingly suspect.But without notice, the ‘Life time’ free cloud service has changed. I suppose the implication is that storage is free but reviewing is not. There’s no way anyone reads the following and assumes that they won’t be able to review the videos (during a rolling 3 day period):”Lifetime F-ree Cloud Service(Does not support memory card)No subscription fees for the lifetime f-ree cloud service storage. The videos can be stored in cloud for 3 days no storage limitation and the device will automatically overwrite the previous file to record in a loop. You can replay surveillance history in 3 days. Without subscription, you cannot play the recorded videos. But all other functions are ok to use.”

Title: Excellent product and value for money
Review: For the price I can’t fault this little camera. It’s sturdy and installed in minutes. Charged the battery to full before installation and it usually uses about 8% overnight but is fully charged again the next day via the solar panel. I had previously bought a video doorbell but it’s field of vision was really narrow and people just didn’t ring it. This covers my front door, side gate, drive and my car on the road at the top of my path. It still has the same alert and audio features as a video doorbell – it has two way audio which is very clear. I’d say it’s a much better and cheaper option. My road is pretty lit up at night but I’d say night vision is pretty good – see pic of kitty jumping over my fence that it captured. If it was in a really dark area and it’s not so clear, you could just install a cheap solar light under it. It’s very easy to set up and the app is simple to navigate. No bells and whistles but does a good job. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Title: Okay but…..
Review: Let’s start with the pros:Very good build quality, I was very surprised how well this was made.Pretty decent picture.The solar panel works amazingly well. I didn’t charge the battery from the box as it tells you too and the battery was around half way. I set it up at night and it fully charged during the next day, which was very impressive.Now the bad:Although the camera connects to the Wi-Fi pretty well and you can live stream if you signal is not absolutely top strong, it will not upload recordings to the cloud. Generally anything below RSSI -00dBm is considered a good wireless connection, this although says good connection for RSSI -55dBm (the lower the minus number the better) that isn’t strong enough to record to the cloud. I contacted customer service and they state it needs to be around RSSI – 35dBm to do this, which is bonkers you’d need it sat next to your router! I must have 20 odd cameras around my garden (to keep and eye on the chickens and other animals rather than security) and none of these have any issues at all. I even moved one of my mesh network stations outside within 5 metres of the camera and it still wasn’t strong enough. Now I’m sure this could be sorted with a software tweak but at the moment it really let’s it down. If this got sorted I’d give it 5 stars and buy more.Update – 01/07/22The solar panels that it comes with are useless, they work for about a week then fail to give it any charge even in the brightest sunlight. I was sent out another panel and tried that but basically the same happened. I then bought a connector to let both panels work together but still no joy.
