Title: Improves control and makes job easier
Review: I must admit applying sealant, or worse, adhesive in a tube, was a job I hated. You had to squeeze hard, affecting control, sealant got everywhere, and when you reached the end of a run you had to release the plunger to stop the sealant flowing out and quickly wipe the end of the nozzle before the unwanted lengthy ribbon of gunge fell off.This caulking gun solves the problem pretty well. The automatic drip-stop function does stop drips- a tiny amount still oozes out, but the flow quickly stops as soon as you release the trigger.This has a greater trigger pressure than the cheaper MG300, 160kg, which means you don’t need the grip of Superman to squeeze out adhesive which is a real struggle with the standard, cheap metal gun.The body grips standard 310ml cartridges securely, you release them by pressing two inset buttons, and the holder rotates to change the angle of the nozzle slightly if required – if truth be known I never quite got the point of that, but no matter it is there if you want it and might be useful if nozzles are cut at angles.With no frame around the cartridge though they are both easier to hold, less bulky and more manoeuvrable.With the high trigger pressure you don’t need to squeeze as hard and there is a lot more control over the flow of sealant, with a steadier and longer flow from a single squeeze. It is much more comfortable to hold and use than the cheap metal models we all start with, and you don’t get that awkward lifting of the cartridge and plunger in the middle of the frame you sometimes get with the metal ratchet guns.It is certainly less bulky than the cheap metal guns but still has the long plunger so is not much shorter, but it is far less bulky to store, and, let’s be honest, it looks a lot more interesting and professional in the toolbox.I am a diy man, not a professional tradesman, so applying adhesive and sealant is not a daily, or even regular task but I can say in many years of caulking this is the best tool I have ever used for the job; it makes caulking much easier, gives you a lot more control, is far less messy and much quicker to use.It is more expensive than the cheap metal guns but is well worth it to make the job that much quicker and easier. I am sure it would be useful for professionals who apply sealant and use a framed gun, and it is certainly well worth it for amateurs such as myself.I can’t say I now love the job, but using this tool I now hate applying sealant a lot less.

Title: does’nt work!
Review: Needed a new caulking gun so I thought I’d push the boat out a bit this time and buy something decent. when i saw this it looked like a great idea and with it being made by Wolfcraft and having seen good reviews for the model below this I bought one.BIG mistake!It arrived rapidly as expected form Amazon and i immediately tried a cartridge in it, it just popped out as soon as the slightest pressure was applied! tried several more times, looked up videos to ensure that it wasn’t me doing it wrong, tried 3 other cartridges and it wouldn’t grip any of them!therefore I have returned it for a refund (thankyou Amazon for making this so simple) and bought a conventional gun for a third of the price.shame really as the concept is good but I really cannot recommend this item at all.

Title: Mixed feelings
Review: I like the concept, I like the compact design, but it can never be as reliable as a gun with a frame. I find it ok for adhesive (even the thick stuff) and caulk, but because the inside of silicone tubes get slippery, the jaws lose their grip. It can be used with longer tubes, just pop a short bit of batten in the tube when the plunger can’t reach the end. I have found that the allen bolts in the grip get loose over time, but that’s not too problematic.

Title: It does drip
Review: Whatever the claims are about not dripping caulk out of the nozzle when the gun is put down isn’t true. Probably about a half inch of caulk which is better than “other” makes but certainly NOT non drip so I have deducted a star and give it 4 stars instead of 5. In all other aspects the gun is a pleasure to use.
