Title: Perfect for good rear visibility
Review: Fitted to our Discovery 3 so we could fill the back with camping gear and still see out of the back window.I now use it all the time and love it. It took a couple of days to get used to the fixed rear view that doesn’t move as you move your head, for the first few minutes it gave me slight motion sickness but I became used to it very quickly. It’s great to be able to see clearly behind you and also lower down when parking.I’ve found the menus simple and easy to use, and being able to replay videos on a large screen instead of an app or squinting at a tiny 1″ display is great. Using your finger to scroll the view up and down works well. I’ve hardwired mine and connected the supplied cable to the reversing lights so it goes into wide-angle view with lines (adjustable) for parking.If I had to criticise anything it would be the lack of WiFi / Bluetooth, so to get the videos off I have to remove the MicroSD card. I won’t mark it down for that as I knew ahead of time this was the case and with how rarely I ever take footage off, I opted to buy it anyway. A future version with a good high transfer speed app ideally using WiFi (even better one that would connect to my home WiFi and allow remote access) would make it perfect.Another tiny issue I had which may not be an issue for other people is the front facing camera does not quite aim far enough to the right, because of the angle I have the interior mirror at. If your mirror is relatively square and not angled over a lot you probably won’t face this issue. It still captures enough of the road for us, but we can’t have it completely facing directly forward, it’s off to the left slightly. The wide angle means it’s not much of an issue.Camera quality and image is good. In direct light there is some glare, but the anti glare film available from Wolfbox reduced this.I initially thought I’d use it sometimes and turn it off to use as a normal mirror. To be honest, it’s not ideal as a normal mirror, it’s usable but darker than normal. This doesn’t bother me as I’m now using it with the screen on full time.I ended up 3D printing my own bracket for the rear camera to ensure it was held at the perfect angle secured with VHB tape to my rear screen. I’ve installed mine inside which means it isn’t getting attacked by water or dirt, and I can’t say the quality has been an issue through the tinted glass, it’s fine. We even have our rear window blanked out for sleeping in the car and the small camera allows us to still see behind without removing this.All in all, would definitely recommend. Installation simple, quality good, and their support agent I’ve had email conversations with has been excellent. I will probably recommend my partner gets one for their next car.

Title: EDITED AFTER CUSTOMER SERVICE
Review: It’s been great! For a while, good quality video, rear view camera is great too! Records! But has issues; firstly, I needed the dashcam footage but found that when the memory card gets full it doesn’t record over the old footage. It just stops recording. I bought this about ten months ago, fitted about six months ago. It has now stopped working. For a couple of weeks it was flickering, so I checked wiring, all looked good. But then noticed that the mirrors screen would choose what service it wants, so it would flicker to the rear camera, to the front camera, to the reversing camera, and back. Then work for twenty minutes, then turn itself off. Then back on again. Now, it doesn’t do any of that.Edit: I’d like to thank Wolfbox for reaching out and sending me out a new device, you guys made my day! I didn’t expect a replacement. I have recently installed the new device and it’s working perfectly. So, thank you!

Title: G850 + rear cam&GPS purchase
Review: Installation was fairly easy, the only difficulties were because of the vehicle type (converted camper) and the routing of the rear camera. However on power up my unit did not switch on, tried through both hardwire kit and power adapter sources but no response from the unit. Even tried it in another vehicle but with no luck. Contacted Wolfbox and after checking a few things they sent a replacement unit. New unit is working and is a great addition to my campervan – great bit of kit, good images both front and rear. Looking forward to getting to use it: hopefully no more issues will be encountered. Just to send my thanks to Alice (Wolfbox customer support team) who handled and resolved my issue!

Review: After installing the mirror I had a problem with turning on automatically when starting the car, worked perfectly but sometimes I had to manually turn it on, I called customer service for help and they took care of it immediately I had a replacement part in a couple of days and no more problems, very easy to install and I love the quality of the playback video, I also was amazed at the blind spot eliminating rear camera, I feel much safer driving now than before excellent system worth the money.

Review:  I got this Wolfbox camera for a very good price, and replaced my older (technically illegal) Z-Edge dual dash cam with it. It’s about the same price as the Z-Edge, but has a much larger screen, better interface, and like I said is not illegal. The reason some Dash cams are illegal is that they partially obstruct the windshield (like my Z-Edge). The Wolfbox is fantastic because it actually attaches to your rearview mirror and does not obstruct any of your view of the road.Accessories and additional items included in the box(the dashcam is obviously included):Silicon attachments (use these to hold the dashcam on the mirror, there are smaller ones for smaller mirrors which I used, and larger ones for larger mirrors)Microfiber cloth to clean the screenPower cordRear cameraGPS attachmentUser manualInstallation:As mentioned, you just attach the silicon stretchy brackets to the upper back hooks of the dashcam, hang it over your mirror, and then attach the lower part of the brackets to the lower hook on the dashcam. You then can attach the power cord and rear view camera wire and run them behind your paneling (I attached pictures and a video with a brief summary of how I ran my wires). Plug in the GPS (attach somewhere out of the way with the 3m tape), and then plug in the cigarette lighter adapter. Voila! You are good to go. Don’t forget to take the protective plastic off the cameras (not that I have ever forgotten that haha).Great features that are included:General direction you are driving (N for north, SE for southeast etc.)Time and DateSpeedScreen Saver mode (in Screen Display under settings, talk more about this later)Sensitivity adjustment (how big of a bump you want for the camera to recognize a “crash”)Brightness adjustment (turn it down to low, or use screen saver mode if you want to use the camera as a mirror instead, talk more about this later)A very responsive touch screenButton to take a pictureChange resolution (options are 4k, 2.5k, and 1080p. Default is 1 min)Whether you want to record audio or not.Option to attach the reverse line so the camera will automatically turn on the reverse camera when reversingCan flip the rear camera (this means you can install it upside down or rightside up if you want)Important things to note:Running the dashcam requires a small amount of technical skill. Not much, since I am not super car savvy. However, if you want to setup the cameras in the best position possible you may have to get creative (I’ll talk more about this later). HOWEVER, if you want the rear camera to automatically turn on in reverse, you have to splice or crimp the red reverse line into your reverse lights. This requires the correct tools and know how, which I did not have. I had to get a mechanic friend of mine to install it. He also installed the rearview mirror on the outside of my vehicle, above the license plate. To do this, he had to drill a hole behind the rear lights, run the wire through there and then out with the license plate light. If you do this, make sure you don’t drill a large hole and then you weatherproof the hole with some sort of rubber, otherwise water will get in and rust out the car.This dash cam functions as both a mirror and a dashcam. What I mean by this is that if the screen is off, it will act as a rear view mirror and you can see through the window behind you. If the screen is on, it will still show the rear view AS WELL as the footage on the camera. This can be a bit distracting, so what I do is I choose to put my Wolfbox in “Screen Saver” mode in the settings options. This turns off the camera while I am driving, but leaves on the nice features like direction and speed. My friend who also has this camera, instead chooses to just leave the camera on but have the rear view on all the time. Essentially he uses the camera instead of a mirror. One thing to note if you do this, is that cars will be closer than they look in the camera.The manual is written with poor English grammar, and does not explain the features well. It requires some trial and error to figure everything out yourself.Installing the rear camera in the recommended position above the license plate means that cars behind you shine their lights directly into the lens.
