Title: Forget Bluetooth vs Wired – This is the perfect compromise
Review: I am not keen on bluetooth keyboards and mice for my Mac. They are fine for an iPad for the occasional times you use them, but on the desktop they are quite frustrating. I prefer to have bluetooth turned off at all times on my Mac. Why?First of all there is a delay before the connect when you wake up your computer. Then there are always the odd connectivity problem. They can also, in the worst cases, cause lag, interference and performance issues. Let’s face bluetooth is pants really when other solutions are available.Anyway, the solution on the keyboard front is to either go for wired keyboards (and mice) but the wire is a pain, of course. There is, however, another solution – the 2.4G USB Dongle equipped keyboard. This means all the advantages of being wireless but a much better connectivity and no lag/performance issues compared to Bluetooth. I already use a Logitech mouse with this feature and it is so much better than the previous Magic Mouse from Apple which used Bluetooth – I had no end of issues with that expensive piece of Jony Ive inspired glass and plastic.For Mac specific keyboards, there are not many with this USB 2.4G dongle feature, so one has to start searching for Windows keyboards, where some of the keys will be wrong and one of them will have a Windows symbol on it – how very un-Apple!This one though, has thoughtfully changed the Windows button to a Mac-style Command one. So whilst it still has a few keys in the wrong places for a Mac it is a lot more acceptable than all the other Windows keyboards and Windows users can, themselves, pretend they have a Mac. As Delboy says, “Everyone’s a Winner”.I also use an app (which I would recommend to every Mac user) call Better Touch Tool. Amongst other things this allows you to re-program keyboard shortcuts. 20 minutes work and this Windows keyboard is working 99.9% perfectly on my Mac – even the media keys work as I have programmed them to control Spotify and the Print Screen button is now programmed for screen capture – all good!So, what else: – Nice feel to the typing action – Not too rattly – Has a Caps Lock light – A good size (between a mini and full size keyboard) – Looks good in grey and black finish – Connection is instant and no drivers are needed (Mac)And the not so good points? Well, nothing really at this price (around £20). It is easily as good as the genuine Mac ones for build quality, in my view, and they cost 4-6 times the price and rely on the rubbishy old bluetooth protocol we are all told we must use for everything.Overall – ask excellent keyboard and one which I now use everyday. I can’t comment on battery life yet, but with just 2, easily obtainable, AAs needed as and when, I cannot envisage it being an issue.

Title: Great keyboard…. USB stick hard to locate!!
Review: Very lovely keyboard, compact and well made. If you cant find the usb stick look inside the battery compartment – righthand side! Its well hidden but a crafty little design to store it when not in use! It looks as though its part of the inside workings! Its easily missed and not in instructions so nearly sent the item back! Would be 5* if instructions were clearer. Cant fault the seller who gave me quick advise to locate the usb 🙂

Title: Was an excellent upgrade, but then it went wrong
Review: Update 20-1-2021. I’ve been using the keyboard for several weeks and am now having issues. The forward slash button does not work and I have started to have connectivity issues. Too many times now it does not register on screen what I have typed and it can take several attempts to work.I’m not now buying for all my staff!!I purchased this keyboard after my Microsoft wireless keyboard gave up on me.The JoyAccess keyboard is much lighter, much smaller (see photo) and the keys are far more responsive. The design means there are no collapsible raisers underneath which snap after a few months. I like it so much I am going to order new keyboards for all my staff.For the price it’s worth every penny.

Review: I bought this as I like to use the number keypad on the side. The keyboard is nice and has a slight weight to it. There is a lip at the top edge so you can type at a comfortable angle. It is made of hard plastic so it is tough.It connects to the laptop etc by means of a USB . Is very responsive.It is an English keyboard.IT is lovely to use however for me it is not suitable. I need aSo nothing wrong with the keyboard but I need to return it to get one smaller. keyboard to carry around. This one measures 37.5 x13.4 with a 2 cm lip at the top.

Title: Stopped working after 5 mins
Review: Really needed this keyboard for my home office as I’m working from home. It is genuinely a beautiful one with all the extra keys I needed. However, after setting it up (with brand new Duracell batteries btw), it only worked for a max of 5 minutes on my laptop before completely being unresponsive. I still want to use it so if someone could get in touch to figure out what is wrong, that’d be great.
