Title: Fantastic Kettle and at £31, cheap!
Review: This kettle looks really stylish on the (induction) hob in the kitchen. To me, it looks and feels as good a quality, as any kettle. We went for the chrome one, which for some reason was £50 to £70 pounds cheaper than the coloured ones!I disagree with comments regarding it too hot to handle. The whistle mechanism works faultlessly and easy to use, as long as the lid has been pushed on fully. It also pours very well.I get the feeling the kettle will last a very long time and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to friends and family.

Title: A top of the range sturdy item – a little heavy
Review: When you pick up this item it feels like you have a quality stylish item. The stainless steel is easy to clean and looks very nicely finished. On the flip side it is a little heavy however the structure is solid and it whistles loudly enough to be heard all around the house. It boils very quickly once lightly filled due to the wide base. Once filled I recommend you wait about 20 seconds before picking it up else you have to use a towel – a problem with most kettles that boil on a hob. I’m very pleased with it as it encourages you to only boil what you need, due to the weight.

Title: Solid kettle. Boils quickly. spout won’t stay open
Review: This is a heavy duty polished stainless (surgical?) Steel kettle, old fashioned engineering look.This will last for year’s, big thick silicone handle grip is good but gets it the way of the whistle trigger so it doesn’t open far enough to stay open or spout fill. Also trigger just has a thin rubber sleeve which gets a bit hot, strange when handle silicone is so thick. Would have been easy to design out so I guess the designer had left by the time they added the handle padding.Handle assembly is held on with big countersunk set screws which is surprising as everything is welded these days, I kind of like it in a retro engineered way. The weight of the kettle prevents you judging how full it is so it’s just as well you need to take the lid off to fill it ( lid is a bit stiff also). Very wide stable base and fits on my work burner with no heat loss around the sides. Boils very quickly because of this and little wasted heat.I like it and use it hourly when home, but others may be put off by these be quirks. Haven’t used the loose leaf accessory but looks ok.

Title: We love the kettle
Review: We heard that boiling kettles on the hob is cheaper than using electricity, and this kettle looks good so we gave it a go. In four weeks since it arrived we haven’t used the old electric once, which is a huge surprise. We do love new one, and it’s the first kettle I’ve wiped down to keep it looking good.It is very practical. The whistle can be heard in the garden if the gas us up high. Or a low murmur if you keep the gas low as others are still asleep. It pour well, better than the plastic / electric which drips. The one handed whistle lift / trigger works very well.If I had to find a negative it would be that, if you don’t boil enough water fist time and need to make a second kettle of water, when you take the lid off the recently boiled kettle there’s a very hot blast of steam rising up to the handle; too hot for a hand to stand (with the old electric kettle the handle is on the back edge of the kettle, which is not possible with this traditional design of hob kettle). It doesn’t happen often as I can estimate how much to boil now, for one, two or more cups.

Title: Heay duty, rock solid.
Review: Heavy duty, and heavy by weight. Seems to be rock solid. The handle is properly screwed on to the body, rarely seen in these days.Boils water somehow faster than our previous one.The only downside is that the whistle cannot be fully opened, that’s by design, but that’s a matter of getting used to it.

Review: Ich habe mir den Wasserkessel als Ersatz für einen elektrischen Wasserkocher bestellt, um mir den zusätzlichen Kabelsalat zu ersparen – am Induktionsherd kocht das Wasser sowieso ultraschnell. Der Kessel ist leicht und trotzdem robust und sieht auch von der Form her stylish aus – macht sich sehr gut in meiner Küche. Das, was oft bei Kesseln mit farbiger Kunststoffbeschichtung bemängelt wird, nämlich dass das bei Hitze recht schnell bräunlich wird, fällt beim Edelstahlkessel weg. Der Flötenton ist ein wenig schrill, aber man gewöhnt sich daran. Zum Ausgießen angenehm – allerdings ist der Henkel nicht beweglich – wäre etwa beim Befüllen mit Wasser von Vorteil.Kalk hat sich relativ schnell am Boden angelegt, aber für den Kalkgehalt des Wassers kann der Kessel auch nix…Insgesamt sehr zufrieden, würde ihn wieder kaufen.
