Title: Coffee on the go indeed! And with no mess…
Review: Initial feelings on unboxing were those of happiness. The wrong instructions were included – for the ground coffee and not for the NS model. But it’s obvious from the products ergonomics where to put the Nespresso pod. The quality feels solid on the threads used to screw the unit together. I washed with hot water first and flushed with hot water to warm the unit. I think this is a good idea, as it would also be to warm the cup you are using too.I filled it up with water, added a Nespresso pod. Screwed together and started to pump. You need to do it pretty firmly, and after 4 pumps as the pressure in the unit builds, you could hear the pod inside engage with some very sharp teeth which puncture the pod. Don’t touch the sharp teeth!!Strong coffee started to flow. I’d say after three pumps you could stop and you’d have a very intense ristretto style. I kept going as I like mine a bit weaker than that. Obviously the more you pour the weaker the coffee gets.I recommend to put about 10% more water than you would normally use into the reservoir so you have sufficient for your beverage. Just stop pumping when you’re done. It was a little stiff to undo the pressure containing piece after I drank the coffee. No real mess. A rinse and it’s ready to go again.Coffee was excellent. If I had to compare it to my dedicated Nespresso machine I’d say it’s 95%… but extremely close. Maybe a tiny tiny bit thinner but really it could just be me. It’s very good. Very convenient. And seems on initial experience, well built.Only word of warning: it involves pouring boiling water into a small reservoir, and then screwing parts together. So you need to be careful and have somewhere safe and stable to make the drink of you could quite easily knock it or spill water on your hand and hurt yourself.Really nice portable product. Intuitive enough to use without the instructions. Would make a great gift for a coffee lover if they already have a favourite Nespresso flavour, so they can replicate it on the move. It makes one coffee at a time and I’d say it takes two minutes or so from when your water is boiled to put it together and product the drink. So you probably wouldn’t want to make a round of 10 cofffee with it. Really for a solo or couple of coffees on the go.Highly recommended

Review: This is the second Minipresso I’ve had. The first one developed a leak after shortly after a year of use. Amazon refunded me on return and I got a new one.I work away from home and I don’t like instant coffee. This wonderful little gadget saves me perhaps £30 a week on takeaway coffee.I’ve found either nespresso pods, costa pods or Starbucks work the best with this machine. LOR always seems to jam the machine up.It’s easy to use – – Unscrew the top after removing the cup/cover and then insert a pod. – screw the top back on tight enough to pierce the pod. – remove the tank at the bottom and fill with hot water. Screw back on. – Invert the machine, unlock the pump handle and then pump (I usually begin pumping until a little coffee comes out the bottom, then wait for a few minutes).- Pump at a rate of about 1 pump a second until empty. Remove pod and recycle if possible.I have the larger tank which is sold separately and then use additional hot water to make an Americano.Excellent when travelling, makes a good coffee and fits in my bag easily with a lunchbox of pods.I would recommend it!

Review: Great little machine for making Espresso on the go. Very easy to use. Feels sturdy and well built.The espresso tastes great out of it. I tested it against my nespresso machine and cannot taste the difference to be honest. I find that I want to have another straight after drinking one. I found that there is an expansion tank available to make 2 espresso on the go on amazon. So that is a must have in the near future.

Title: Mmm, I got burned
Review: Got this for the missis so she could have proper coffee on holiday. Seemed not too bad at first. Although there is a lot of faffing trying to get a coffee. It is pretty hard to pump the machine, for the dribbles of coffee coming out. Messy as well, make sure you do this over a sink, as it gets everywhere. Then the fateful day came. I started the process to make a coffee for the missis. Now, this thing works on pressure 8bar if I’m thinking right. As I started to pump, the pressure blew off the part that holds boiling water, sorting me with red hot water. Luckily I was over a sink at the time, which stopped a lot hitting me. But it did catch me and give me a nasty burn to the stomach. I wanted to like this, but after that it had to be returned. Great service by Amazon as per usual.I’m surprised someone hasn’t invented one that works on batteries/rechargeable, as I feel those types would be safer. Sorry for the picture of my fat hairy stomach!!!!
