Review: Decent little security camera.I got this to use in my baby’s nursery, so I can’t comment on how well it works outside, but once I no longer need it there, I plan on moving it to the front of my house, and you get the fixtures to do this.I think the camera looks really smart, plus it’s a lightweight and compact design.It was fairly easy to set up, you simply download the app, and follow the instructions to connect the camera to your Wifi, and set up a profile. You can name the camera, so if you had multiples around your home, you could quickly find which one you wanted to view, such as ‘front garden’, ‘garage’ or ‘nursery’ etc.I think the picture quality is very good, even during nighttime. The camera also has a two-way talk feature, so you can hear and speak through it, great for talking to kids or delivery drivers etc. Although I will say, I found this to be slightly crackly, which could be down to the positioning of the camera from the Wifi signal.There isn’t an SD card included, so if you plan on using one to store the footage, then you’ll need to purchase one separately, but you can just save the footage to the cloud.The app is nice and easy to use, and I haven’t had any issues with it so far.Overall, I’m pleased with it, it suits my needs perfectly, and I think it’s very versatile.

Review: First impressions are a nice small camera, under £60 seems to be very fairly expensiveApp and installation are easy enough, as with many of these cameras you’ll need to pay a subscription if you want to use cloud recording plus a few other features, which is not mention anywhere on the product page.This is USB powered, indoors I don’t see this as an issue, outdoors I’d struggle, cable not very long, a difficult connection to get outside, wall hole size etc, I could run extensions etc to power it, but all becomes messy and the extension may not be waterproof etc.Image results are very good, light helps, but in a dim light results were still impressiveA good camera, nice and small, fits in to the palm of your hand, ideal indoor or outdoor if you can power it.

Review: I received this yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. I will update this review if/when there are any changes.Pros:- Quick, easy setup- Great Picture- Very good color picture at night even with spotlight turned off.- No subscription required when using an SD Card (not included)- App for Android works great on my phone and Kindle Fire HD.- Can watch live on the app and change settings. Can also record to phone and SD Card and download recordings to your device from the SD Card.Cons:- Only one I can think of so far, I don’t like having to create an account on-line. It would be nice to have an option to just connect to the camera without creating an online account. Maybe there is a way but there are no instructions for that. You can use a different app that may do that, though.I like how you can turn off the infrared and turn off the spotlight. I have it mounted inside a window recording video outside. So it’s important to have the infrared and spotlight off because otherwise it will reflect on the window. I also covered up the light with black tape in case the light ever came on.What surprised me is how bright the picture is at night and in color without the light. Very nice.People say it’s a con that they didn’t include an SD Card but the price for the camera is really good. It’s nice they have the option to use an SD Card.I also like how adjustable it is for mounting.You can set it to continuously record to an SD Card and when it fills up it will record over the oldest recordings. You can also set it to only record motion or you can also set it to show where the motion is on the recordings. You can customize what you want on the recordings regarding time, location, etc.I know it’s only been a day but I’m very happy with it. I will update this review if there are any changes.

Review: If you’re looking for a cheap security camera, then I’m sure you don’t care all too much about the Chinese government spying on your private activities. I know I don’t, so on with my brutally honest review.The camera itself hardware wise is almost PERFECT for what I need it to do. Basically, I had a package stolen from me. Nobody around us has any cameras. Living on a main street in town, we were easy targets. But not anymore! I purchased this indoor/outdoor use camera with the intent of using it outdoors at first. But upon receiving and examining, this thing definitely isn’t theft proof at all. It has a screw hole to mount it to a wall, but it’s clearly meant to hold the camera up not re-enforce it. One hard tug and it’d rip right off without a doubt.If you’re relying on local SD storage like I am because you don’t wanna pay for cloud, then if the thief is really smart and can just make off with the SD card and you’re left with 0 evidence. So with that being said, my outdoor camera suddenly decided to be an indoor one that sits on the window frame, pointing at the front porch. Not ideal, but it’ll work for porch pirates YAAARG.When using a camera pointed out the window, it’ll work great in the day time. You’ll have some window glare, but with a little adjustments here and there you’ll be able to make it work just fine. Night time is where it’ll need some configuration. By default, IR is enabled. The camera depends on IR for night time clarity. However, IR also reflects off windows thus rendering the camera blind due to window glare. The solution? Disable IR all together. I was EXTREMELY surprised at the performance of this camera at night without IR. It is CLEAR! Way clearer than Yi & Wyze. I can make out every detail without much problems. As mentioned, we live on a busy street with some street lights and cars constantly going by. It isn’t what I’d call super bright, but it’s illuminated at night. Without exaggerating this camera can see better than I can at night which is a win in my book.Now on to the not so great thing… The app. The achilles heel. First off, if you want phone notifications they can be setup but it’s lacking. It works for movement, but human detection is rubbish. I wouldn’t depend on it.Secondly (my biggest gripe), when I want to view my recorded video I can apply filters to the stream to help me identify moments of interest (movements/detections) but for the love of God I can’t figure out why the developers didn’t include a fast-forward/reverse feature. You have to sit there manually skipping through a however many hours feed hoping you don’t miss anything in-between skipping. Why? They really could’ve added this ease of life feature. Overall aesthetics are lacking too which doesn’t give an overall great feeling. I feel like I’m using an app from 2008. Please polish the UI and add some quality of life features!Overall, this isn’t a terrible buy. But I’ve decided to go with Wyze and will be returning this some time soon soley because Wyze just offers a much better app experience with proper working notifications. The trade off? The overall clarity is only half of what this baby gets. Not being able to quickly review your camera footage and events within the app is just a deal breaker for me, and overall if the app was just a bit better I’d put these all over. Hopefully they continue to polish the app, because this camera truly does a great job. It’s only crutch is the unintuitive software and maybe fragile stand.

Review: Bought 2 cameras for my apartment. Unfortunately, one stopped working. Tried over and over to troubleshoot myself, followed steps online. Didn’t work. Finally got around to reaching out to customer service via the “chat” option on the app. Had a response waiting the next day, continued to troubleshoot as instructed, nothing worked. They sent me a brand new camera, received within 5 days. Installed within 10 minutes. Works amazing. 10/10 easy experience.
