Review: It does give some charge but only really when the screen is off. It needs more amps to the charging speed to be really useful, I don’t know if it’s possibly but firmware update ? I really don’t think it doubles the capacity of the headset like I read. I still get sessions where I run out of power, I also noticed a hiss noise from this when charging the headset. Hoping this can be fixed as it looks like an awesome product

Title: Overly Exaggerated and Misleading Marketing
Review: Ok so this does deserve 2 star for the comfort and the way it attaches to the quest 3 headset. You really don’t notice any additional weight and there is no discomfort when wearing the headset with this attached. Also there is no pressure on the usb port of the headset and the wire is just the right length. The usb port doesn’t get warm which is a good sign but the venom battery will get warm to touch but not a dangerous level of warm. However this is where the pros stop.The following quote IS NOT on the actual product packaging – “The Venom Power Bank extends the battery life of your headset by more than double, allowing you to enjoy longer uninterrupted gaming and VR sessions.”In fact what IS ON the packaging is “keep your meta quest 3 charged up and ready for your next gaming session with this portable rechargeable battery pack.” This quote makes it look like it’s just a charger for when the headset is off rather than a power bank you use when the headset is on. That was the first red flag before I even used it.So after I fully charged the battery pack the first time you’ll notice is that it won’t start getting used untill the quest 3 battery is under 50%. This is a good thing as I believe it will help prolong the quest 3 battery. So I’m thinking ok so far so good but then after testing I found it only gave around/just over 30mins extra time. This power bank won’t charge and play so while the quest is using the power bank the internal quest battery is also still going down as well. So once the venom power bank is used up you will also have lost some of the internal battery during that time so negating part of what extra time you would get with the venom battery.The quest internal battery is 4879mah where as the venom battery is 3000mah. Now where venom got “extends more than double” is because it only kicks in after 50% of the internal battery used while playing so therefore in theory they have halved 4879mah. This however still didn’t give more than double playtime and I tested it in just one game to get a fair result. If this did actually charge the internal battery while playing then yes they might just get away with it extending the internal battery by double. What should have gave just over an hour extra playtime onle gave around/just over 30mins.The design of this battery is great in terms of weight and how comfortable it is when the headset is in use but it seems they have cheapened out on battery power and delivery of that power to the headset when in use. You really would need 2-3 of these to hotswap for any meaningful extension to playtime but you still have the fact that the internal battery is still being drained while using the venom battery so hot swapping would only work for so long and you would still need to charge the headset and venom power banks for the next gaming session. The venom battery also takes just as long to charge as the headset so is it really worth doing that each day.

Review: Okay. These don’t live up to the maker’s hype BUT…1) Don’t be fooled by the lights on the battery in use: it rapidly drops to a single flashing light (from four to one) but it stays there for about 60% of the entire battery life;2) BUY TWO or don’t bother. With two you can swap and charge in perpetuum;3) Buying two, is CONSIDERABLY cheaper than the elite battery / headset combo;4) These batteries fit BEAUTIFULLY and the weight is negligible.To summarise, these don’t live up to the hype but they are good and do work.Buy two for constant (ie people round party mode) gaming.

Review: Nachdem ich den ersten Artikel bei eBay bestellt hatte weil er bei Amazon noch nicht verfügbar war und einen gebrauchten bekommen habe, mit ersichtlichen Gebrauchsspuren, trotz das er neu sein sollte, er aber dennoch funktionierte, bestellte ich nun bei Amazon neu. Die von mir gemessene Verlängerung der Laufzeit der Meta Quest 3 beläuft sich auf ungefähr 45 Minuten und das finde ich wirklich passabel. Ich werde jetzt noch einen weiteren bestellen damit ich 3 Stück im ständigen Wechsel verwenden kann. Der Komfort ist unglaublich gut und man spürt keine zusätzliche Gewichtsbelastung an der Brille. Von mir klare Kaufempfehlung.
