Title: Easy to use
Review: The Element 2 is beautifully boxed, and every part is thoughtfully packaged to make it obvious which wires belong with which devices. There is no wasted space, and everything is clearly marked. The box includes a quick visual guide of how to set up the devices correctly and a more instructive user manual for delving deeper into the workings of the camera.Installation is made easy by the electrostatic stickers applied to the windscreen and the cameras hold steady in place. The front camera is simplistic and easy to navigate by using the four buttons at the base of the camera. The video quality is very good in daylight and remains just as good in low light. The angle of the lens comfortably captures the full width of the windscreen which enables us to see what is happening to the right and left of the vehicle (very useful when driving on motorways). The HUD on the camera screen can seem overwhelming at first but once you read through the user manual it becomes clearer as to what each symbol is and how it relates to the operation of the camera. One of the features I was most impressed with was how well the loop recording works. After installing a 32GB micro-SD card to record on, having the option to automatically record over the oldest recording with the newest recording saves a lot of time having to organise the previous recordings. There is also a remote control included which is easily stuck to the dashboard and makes it a lot easier to start and stop recordings whilst driving.One of the biggest benefits of the dash camera is the accompanying mobile app. Connecting the phone to the dash camera is relatively simple however you have to ensure that you are on the live video stream for it to work. Live preview through the app enables you to control certain elements of the live feed, such as switching between front and rear cameras, microphone on/off, taking a snapshot and stopping the recording. There is also the option to access the album which shows all the previous recordings/images and gives you the option to download or delete recordings as necessary. As easy as the camera is to navigate, having the app enables you to delete multiple files at once rather than one or all of them.

Title: Excellent Dashcam
Review: Having owned the Vantrue Element 2 for just over a week now, I can honestly say I am more than happy with this dashcam.Straight out of the box the Vantrue E2 was easy to set up with quality 3M sticky pads (also with a few spares) and a small tool to help you hide the cabling behind the car trim. I already had a hardwire kit installed from my previous dashcam therefore this was quick and easy for me to get up and going.Once installed, setup was a doddle using the Vantrue app on my Android phone. I found connecting to the dashcam was straight forward and without issue. Footage can be reviewed on your phone and you can download the ones you want to keep which is one of the features I really like – saves having to remove the SD card to upload on a PC.After reviewing my videos I found the footage to be a little washed out on the default setting, although it was a bright cloudless day with the sun low in the sky but the footage is still perfectly usable. I will be lowering the exposure a notch or 2 to get it right for myself.Also on the default setting, I found the G sensor to be a little too sensitive as the dashcam kept on taking lots of photos and protecting videos (an indication on the state of our roads in the UK!) which could result in running out of memory space on the SD card. You can turn G sensor off but I dialled it down to 1 and found this setting the best for my car.Finally, the voice controls work perfectly and I have the little remote control mounted within easy reach should I need to mute the mic or take a photo.Overall I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend Vantrue dashcam to anyone..Edit. Having owed the Vantrue E2 for a year now, I can honestly say I am still more than happy with this dashcam, I have even submitted a few videos to dashcam Youtube channels which have been published. When you compare the Vantrue video quality to most other dashcams footages seen on Youtube you can certainly see the superior quality of the Vantrue.I recently changed cars and installed my Vantrue E2 into my new one for which I needed some new mounting pads and antistatic sticker. When I contacted Vantrue then despatched them quickly and free of charge! Thank you Vantrue, your customer service is fantastic.
