Title: Solidly Engineered
Review: Read the previous reviews and took particular note of the choice of two sizes 6″ and 9″. The Inner circlip I was having difficulty in removing with my existing cheap set was 40mm. The circlip was on an Audi 1.8 cabriolet ADR engine. The part I was trying to replace was the viscous bearing , which is housed in an alloy casting that houses both the Alternator and power steering pump and locates above the water pump, it utilises the same bolts to fix the water pump and the alloy housing. So the time to replace as the water pump seal was leaking. Tried the larger 9″ set and the circlip was out of its seat in a minute. No deformation of the clip on removal. So re-used it after pressing the bearing out and then replacing it.Cannot recommend these high enough, although yet to use the smaller set. But followed a previous review and purchased both, sure in the long run a wise decision.

Title: Circlip pliers with thick 1.5mm pins
Review: These circlip pliers more for commercial vehicles or construction plant as the pins large at minimum of 1.5mm in diameter, I say minimum as they do vary in diameter some larger than others, the case zipped on three sides is adequate and just about fits the length of plier.The pliers good enough for the intended task but they are quite stiff and do take some freeing up with appropriate lubricant, the rubber type handle grips also sufficient but not the best if for everday use and the small coil springs placed between the handles can become misaligned whilst using.Personally these for occasional use and will be adequate, not the best but obtain the desired result.

Review: What a nice surprise when I inspected these pliers I thought they’d be the usual substandard Chinese rubbish but they are very good quality and do the job well, but don’t expect them to fit small circlips because they won’t, but are ideal for diggers and dumpers and the like

Title: Pins too big
Review: The pins on all 4 pliers are too big to fit circlips! I’ve had to file all the pins to nearly 50% of the original size to make fit! I would have expected this if they were a cheap set!

Title: Useful set of circlip pliers
Review: They were not expensive and therefore I can’t expect good finish and quality. For example, the tips on some pliers are not level and the machining is poor. But if I loose one out and about I won’t worry. The case for them is better quality, pro rata. Should not bother with the case and spend the money on the pliers instead.
