Review: This camera may be small but it has some great features. It is weighty and solid and obviously made from quality materials as I’d expect from TOUCAN. It is a wireless camera with a great battery life. I was concerned that the camera could easily be stolen, but soon realised that once the camera is removed from the mount an extremely loud alarm goes off until it is put back in place. No one will want to be around it while up to no good as it would likely get the attention of the entire street.Speaking of the mount, it is magnetic and is very strong. It gives a satisfying click when you place the camera on the mount and it is strong but easily adjustable. You can attach the mount to a surface via the 3M sticky pad or via screws.The image is great whether during the day or in night mode. It’s very clear to the point you can even read number plates on cars driving past.Everything is done through the relevant app. Notifications are sent to your phone when the camera detects movement (sensitivity can be adjusted), and clips are stored in the app and can be downloaded to your phone. No subscription is required and there are no hidden costs involved.Setup up is simple as long as you take into account one main thing. Firstly, you have to ensure that you switch to 2.4HGz wifi otherwise it won’t work.This is the perfect camera if you want to put it up somewhere high to monitor a large area due to the wide angle view. We can watch the entire front of our house and part of the street with this little camera, and the picture quality is great considering it’s not 4K.

Review: This camera is essential for safety and peace of mind . I have installed it outside for security as its weatherproof. It’s amazing this one . It has motion sensors and only records when it detects movement. The picture and video quality is amazing even the night vision has clear images and it has a very wide range. I couldn’t be happier !

Title: Great quality, simple installation, expensive ongoing costs though
Review: In a nutshell:Things I liked:+ So much about this camera is really straightforward to get started with, which is a big plus. Installation and setup are both really simple. The fact that it uses a battery means you don’t need to have a single cable connected to it, which is a real selling point compared to a lot of the rival cameras that need a consistently connected power source.+ The app is extremely straightforward to use and gives you good control over your recordings. The subscription is optional and without the subscription, you still get motion detection and 30-second recordings which means you don’t really need a subscription unless you want to store longer recordings and/or for longer than 24 hours.+ The quality of the recordings is excellent. Although it’s only 1080p, the recordings are extremely clear and the night vision is excellent.+ In my opinion, this is best suited to installation outside an upstairs window. That way, you can easily open the window and retrieve the camera for charging, but it’s very difficult and inaccessible for people to try and get hold of if they have bad intentions. Even if they were able to detach the camera from its magnetic base, the alarm is extremely loud and prevents people from removing it unnoticed.Things I didn’t like:- Although you don’t need a subscription, if you want to store your recordings for any longer than 24 hours, I’m afraid you have to pay. This makes it a little limited in terms of home security if you don’t pay for cloud storage. What’s more, you still only get seven days of recording time if you get the basic £2.99 a month subscription level and it only goes up to 90 days when you pay £9.99 a month for the elite subscription level (which is quite expensive).- With it being essentially battery-powered, you always have the possibility of the battery running flat or dying while you’re away for an extended period of time e.g. a holiday.- £140 (after £10 voucher is deducted) is a little expensive.Do I recommend it?Yes, in certain circumstances. This camera is ideal if you want a very simple setup, a very accessible interface on the app and you don’t mind paying for a subscription service if you want to access your recordings for a longer period of time. It is also absolutely ideal if you don’t want to be running cables anywhere and simply want to install this on the outside of your home with minimal fuss.However, if you want to do things more cheaply and you don’t mind running a power cable, I also have outdoor cameras from TP-link which allow you to save directly to SD card and access the recordings from the app without a subscription. They cost roughly £100 less than this as well but they do require the installation of a power cable.

Title: Lasts longer on a charge than the blink camera it replaced
Review: Very happy with this camera’s overall performance and the battery lasts longer than the blink camera it replaced although I have now run a USB power lead into the back via a 10 ft cable from inside the garage.I’ve been trying out cameras that don’t require a subscription thus looking for a blink replacement. The blink cameras I have also are very slow to respond via the app. This seems to be far better. Quality is great.The only thing I wish these modern camera should have is a they should work on 5Ghz or 6Hgz wifi. I understand 2.4ghz can give a little more range but it just didn’t connect to my vodafone box even though I had a seperate 2.4ghz channel setup. I think this was to do with the WPA protocol. Fortunately I run some BT mesh extenders on 2.4gh as my heating system and other stuff also have similar issues and the app and camera had no problem working with this.

Title: Great security camera
Review: Perfect for indoor and outdoor use. Very solid and well made, high quality picture and connects wireless to your phone via an app using wifi. There is an option to store footage on the cloud (which I think may cost) but you can also store footage on an SD card also which would need to be purchased separately.Fixes to the wall via an adhesive 3M patch and also screws. The camera then attaches via a very strong magnet (see video) allowing it to be rotated and angled exactly how you would like it (and also taken down with ease without having to unscrew the fixing)Very good camera, highly recommended
