Title: Have to be careful when using them.
Review: Depending on amount free space in your engine bay these may be used often or only from time to time.They work smoothly and if you place the jaws correctly they hold hose clip securely.Be warned-don’t repeat my mistake and do not apply excessive force when squeezing handles.I’ve squeezed them a bit to hard and one of the handles loosened in the rivet area – they still worked fine but handle play was annoying. I have a MIG welder and welded both handles to the jaws so the rivets are no longer the weak point, however if you can’t make such repair either buy pliers with different construction or be cautious how hard you squeeze the handles.I’m giving 5 stars because problem with product was caused by user error.Hope that helps

Review: Tried it on a coolant hose clamp and didn’t budge it and resorted to pliers then tried the clamp off of the hose and got about 2mm of clearance waste of money and time

Review: This is much better than struggling with a pair of pliers as most of us have probably done in the past. The head can reach into most areas of an engine bay. The jaws open up to a little over 40mm so should go over most hose clamps. The ratcheting locking mechanism auto engages so is easy to use, and simple to release when you’re done.

Title: Handy For Those Hard To Get To Clamps
Review: I nearly bought one of these last year when removing the radiator on my car, one hose clip on the top hose was easy to get the standard hose clamp pliers on but the lower clamp was in a very hard to get to place and these pliers might have made things a lot easier.These look pretty well made and I did just try it out on the top hose clamp to see if it worked and it did, so a handy tool to have in case I get one of those awkward hard to get to hose clamps again.
