Title: Decent Storage, unreliable transfer speeds
Review: In 2018, I purchased the Toshiba by Kioxia 32 GB TransMemory U202 USB2 White flash drive, and overall, it served its purpose well. As a college student, I needed a reliable storage solution, and this flash drive proved to be perfect for my needs with its ample 32GB capacity. However, my main disappointment stemmed from its unreliable transfer speeds. While it sometimes exhibited fast performance, more often than not, file transfers were frustratingly slow. This occasionally caused delays, forcing me to linger while transferring files and leaving college later than planned. Despite this drawback, I would still rate it 4 stars for its overall utility.

Title: I suspect these are ‘defective’
Review: APPENDUM: I had the worse time with the seller ”UkMobileAccessories” and that individual caused me such emotional harm that I eventually decided it was not worth my while trying to get my money back. Two items arrived, one of which didn’t work – the other only formatted part of the way. I contacted Amazon and reported this, and that it was my belief that the goods were not as described. Amazon then suggested I re-gift the goods or dispose of them – so I disposed of them. Surprise, surprise, the seller wanted me to return the now binned goods, and kept on contacting me demanding their return, which only made me wonder all the more why he would want them so badly? I had Amazon sending me letters, three days in a row demanding the return of the goods … and that was almost four weeks ago. Today, I received yet another letter demanding the return of the goods. The seller has put me through hell. AVOID – THEY ARE PURE BLOODY POISON and the worse seller I’ve ever had to deal with in more than a decade.I want to tell you about my USB memory device purchasing history and experience wherein the seller is concerned. I first purchased two 128GB memory sticks for £18.48 per item from the seller on February 20th, 2020 and when they arrived, neither operated as they were supposed to. After a couple of days of testing it became clear that the devices were not as described, an experience that I’m not alone in having – just check other reviews on this page for details of circumstances similar to my own.I subsequently sent back the sticks and got a full refund and spent my money elsewhere on reputable USB memory devices. Over a year later and needing more memory I came back to Amazon and placed another order with the same seller, not realizing that it was their products that I had previously purchased and which were not of the highest quality and subsequently the sticks were delivered within a couple of days.I cannot fault the seller there, the delivery was quick, but one of the 128GB memory sticks fresh out of the packaging could be detected by my Windows 10 system but when I went to format it, the device would not format. I tried repeatedly and even tried it in two other laptop machines just in case my USB port had picked up a physical fault – none of the machines could format the stick, a stick with ‘’Kioxia’’ on the side, yet I had purchased a ‘’Toshiba’’ stick because it’s a brand name that I expect commitment from, and which is generally of very high fidelity. With one USB not working as expected, I took the second stick and attempted to format that one as well, and so far, … so good, it formatted to approximately one-third of the 128GB format and then stalled. I was understandably concerned, so tried to format it again. And when that didn’t work, took it to my laptop and tried once more with the same result. It would only format to one-third of the 128GB capacity (in actuality this stick has an actual physical capacity of 115GB which to be is a rip-off, as the thing is advertised as whole thirteen gigabytes more than it can actually provide). I retired for the night and the following morning tried once more to format the sticks and as on the previous day they acted as described above.I, therefore, contacted Amazon and asked to send the items back and request a refund as I wondered if the items weren’t just bad, but actually counterfeit. At no time did I accuse the seller of deliberately selling counterfeit merchandise, but I was concerned that if they had been in receipt of it and were unknowingly selling it, then they needed to be warned. After communicating this to Amazon, the company contacted the seller who in turn sent me a letter that I didn’t appreciate as it bordered on illegality.Dear buyer,We have all proof of invoice from UK registered distributors. So please reply with detailed information why you call it as fake and you need proper reason to explain to call it as fake because simply telling as fake to return the product which you want it will be against the policy. please explain itkind regardsUkma teamClearly their first language isn’t English, and what is this business DEMANDING that I justify my concerns? And then the apparent denial of refunding me as it was against their ‘policy’. To me this was a red flag situation and suggested a seller who was uncomfortable with my concerns. Why would a legitimate seller be concerned, they would just accept the ‘defective’ items back and issue a refund, but this seller was demanding I justify my concerns and suggesting they would refuse to comply with the refund.Frankly, that is not how a professional seller should handle a situation like this. A couple of days later another letter arrived in my email, seemingly some sort of ‘’we’re in the right and your in the wrong’’ kind of justification, and that too provided red flags. Why would a seller be so determined to be in the right over a simple return and refund? There is an expression, ”the customer is always right”. The letter as it appeared in my email:Dear buyer,Please read the Article From TOSHIBA about Toshiba and Kioxia online:- Toshiba renamed all his memory devices as KIOXIA Now, So Toshiba and KIOXIA is same. (Photos for illustration purposes only). Toshiba changed their name into Kioxia for Memory devices like USB, MicroSD, SD Cards etc. Please read below Notice:- Notice:- KIOXIA Corporation has officially changed its name from Toshiba Memory Corporation effective October 1, 2019. Some pages and/or documents may still include the name “Toshiba Corporation” or “Toshiba Memory Corporation”, please interpret those names to correspond to the new company name. It became a wholly owned subsidiary company of Toshiba Memory Holdings Corporation on March 1, 2019 and was renamed to Kioxia in October 2019. In the early 1980s, while still part of Toshiba, the company was credited with inventing flash memory. In the third quarter of 2018, the company was estimated to have 19% of the global revenue share for NAND flash solid-state drives. The company is the parent company of Kioxia Corporation. Thanks for your CooperationUkma TeamIf they were trying to impress me, they failed. Anyone can cut and paste text so that didn’t impress me, although it is true that Toshiba was rebranded to Kioxia in September 2019, a fact that I checked after the fact, but that wasn’t really the issue now, was it? Apparently, ‘defective’ goods were. Frankly, at this point, all I wanted to do is return the ‘defective’ items to the seller and get my refund but given the apparent threat that I was in violation of their ‘policy’ I no longer trusted the seller and wanted to send the devices back to Amazon, so they could process them and then knowing that I had fulfilled my legal requirements, be issued a refund.I won’t be purchasing from this seller again for obvious reasons. Their attitude has lost them a customer and moved me to write about my experiences so others don’t make the same mistakes I did.

Review: I really l like Toshiba flash drives. They seem indestructible–probably aren’t, though. I’ve dropped them numerous timesand they are just fine. They are really easy to use and I like the way the caps fits–nice and tight.

Sehr gut verpackt, guter Preis.
