How we get our start?

We started putting holes into pillows way back in 2013. Initially doing it only for the mum of the family, Judy, we eventually came to realise that others would stand to benefit too.

And here we are, almost 10 years later!

Our hypoallergenic coil fibre is made in Yorkshire. It is cooler than memory foam with no odour and is perfect for those with allergies.

Title: Great pillow
Review: This pillow is great for relieving pressure on the ears and especially for preventing or reducing ear pain whilst sleeping. The hole is designed to be spacious and accommodating for different ear sizes and positions and completely removes the pressure a regular pillow would apply to your ears at night; I frequently encounter ear pain and discomfort at night due to my piercings and the PWAH completely prevented this from happening when I slept on it. The only thing I would say is that the pillow could have been a little softer and lower in height for me, and if they aren’t already available it would be interesting to see a variety of these specifications offered. All in all a great pillow for those suffering ear pain or discomfort.

Review: I have been waiting for this product for a long time. I bought a couple of pillows made in China and tiny little hole which was more of a bump really didn’t do any good at all. I have had a really bad ear infection so I decided enough was enough . I had another look on Amazon and lo and behold a pillow with a proper hole and the right size hole. I have only had it a few days but it is a life saver as far as I am concerned. I think the price must have put me off from getting one before but it’s worth every penny. Comfortable and saves my poor ear. Thank you

Title: Brilliant!
Review: I need to wear earplugs at night to be able to sleep as I am very sensitive to sounds waking me up, I also need to sleep on my side because of acid reflux. Before I got this pillow I always struggled as it’s hard to sleep with earplugs in while on my side but this pillow means not only is this possible but I can also wear ear defenders and lay on my side too!The pillow is well designed and really good quality too, this company clearly knows what they are doing.I’m definitely going to be buying more from them, and I’m looking forward to another good nights sleep too!

Title: Very useful
Review: This pillow was very useful for sleeping on my left side, as I still sometimes get pain lying on my pierced ear. When I use this pillow I don’t get any pain. The only issue is that the pillow is smaller than my other pillows so it took some time for me to get used to it being smaller.

Title: OK but….not good for me though.
Review: I have chronic CNH and I hoped this would be the answer to my prayers BUT while the pillow case is beautiful and soft the hole area is just sewn and left to go taught when you lay on it. So could be irritating. Thr pillow is indeed very well made and also very overstuffed. So in order to get it to be on you will almost certainly have to remove all filling and refill it yourself. So bare that in mind if you’re of limited mobility. The hole isn’t dead centre of the pillow ita central horizontally but isn’t in the cross centre so its further from the edge of the pillow on one side and closer on the other. This wasn’t however still close enough for me. I wish it was but sadly not. It bended my ear at the bottom and also triggered a migraine and tmj due to pressure on the different parts of my face and jaw. Granted had I been able to stuff and unstuff I may have been able to soften it. But it wouldn’t have changed the point that thr distance from my shoulder to my ear was just not long enough to accommodate the pillow. I am gutted as I thought this was my holy grain but aggarently not. I would also say for some people it may be an issue that its essentially 3/4 size of a normal pillow. In that it’s not comfortable in other ways. Even if your ear temporarily feels better. Other issues may not. Although I can see why it would work for others.Sorry PWAH.

Title: What a brilliant pillow
Review: My husband kindly bought me one of your pillows as l have been suffering from acute painful ear infections brought about from cancer treatment. 1) It is rare to find such a carefully crafted, quality product as the P. W.A.H.I love the silky feel on my face, l love that the covers are washable, I love the “adjustable” soft stuffing. 2)I was delighted/blown away that I am able to sleep on a sore ear due to the perfect large ear space😊😊😊😁3)We wasted money and time on two previous so called donut cushions🙁. 4) l will be enormously grateful for being able to sleep! THANKYOU

Title: Stained despite regular washing.
Review: I wanted to test it before leaving a review, so I’ve had this pillow since January firstly yes, it’s great for piercings and is comfortable, for them, BUT if you’re ordering in white, be warned it will stain terribly and easily. None of my other pillows some I’ve had for years have ever gone gross not even white cotton pillows and cases.The pillow case will simply won’t return to a clean base even when washed, the same has also happened to the actual pillow itself, again unstuffed and washed, still stained. I thought this was supposed to be a high quality material considering the price however I was further violated to see the price point of replacement cases. So I’ve cut a hole in a normal pillow case now and it will do. I wouldn’t but again.

Review: I love my Original Pillow With a Hole (P.W.A.H)! After 3 years of sleeping on a travel pillow, I can sleep on a pillow again! I am a side sleeper and have multiple cartilage piercings in varying stages of healing, in both ears. I have been using this pillow for over 2 months and the hole for the ear allows me to easily switch sleeping sides and I can sleep on my back comfortably as well because it’s an actual pillow! The ear hole also decreases the irritation that comes from accidentally sleeping on piercings and my piercings are looking and feeling much better. The fact that the pillow’s firmness can be individualized was a big factor in my decision to purchase it. At first the pillow was too firm for me, but per the manufacturer’s instructions, I removed some of the filling & manipulated the remaining stuffing to have the correct firmness and the pillow is perfect (I saved the filling in case I need to use it in the future). The P.W.A.H. came with a nicely made, soft white cotton pillowcase that feels great against my face. It stays in position on the pillow pretty well as I change sleeping positions during the night. I wash/rinse it in cold water on the delicate cycle and air dry it and no shrinkage has occurred. I have ordered a second pillowcase in Deep Marine and am looking forward to receiving it. Though the pillow is smaller than a standard pillow, it is bigger than a travel pillow, and works just as good as a standard sized pillow; I actually like the smaller size better for sleeping on. I also bought the travel size Original P.W.A.H. and love it too! If you have cartilage piercings, this pillow is well worth the cost! I highly recommend it to my friends and anyone who reads this review 🙂

Review: Ich weiß nicht ,woran es liegt ,dass ich manchmal Schmerzen am Außenohr bekomme ,wenn ich darauf liege. Die Nächte sind dann immer gelaufen , weil ich ein absoluter Seitenschläfer bin. Also mußte eine Lösung her. Das beste Kissen ,was ich gefunden habe . Es ist nicht zu hart und nicht zu weich und es ist formstabil. Das Loch ist groß genug , so dass man auf dem Kissen auch mal etwas ” verrutschen ” kann. Es hat für die Qualität auch seinen Preis ,aber was tut man nicht alles ,um schmerzfrei schlafen zu können. Bin zufrieden .

Review: Questo cuscino con foro è davvero fantastico per risolvere qualsiasi problema all’orecchio, che sia piaga da decubito, condrodermatite dell’elice, pericondrite, ecc. Grazie a questo cuscino è pressochè guarita una piaghetta sul padiglione di un orecchio che non guariva con i sottili cerotti antidecubito.Questo perchè è un cuscino fatto con materiali di altissima qualità che si sentono al tatto. Ovviamente per apprezzarne la qualità e il comfort del cuscino e della splendida federa fatta di raso di cotone (nessun altro cuscino ha un materiale simile nella federa!) bisogna acquistarlo per provare l’esperienza di persona.In secondo luogo, a differenza di altri cuscini che hanno l’esterno del foro della stessa misura, il P.W.A.H. è stato concepito correttamente per le diverse misure del collo in modo da posizionarlo dalla parte più adatta alla propria anatomia cervicale così da poter avere l’orecchio centrato nel buco senza punti di pressione.Una nota di merito anche al venditore che è molto disponibile e pronto a supportare rispondendo velocemente (in lingua inglese) e dettagliatamente a qualsiasi domanda gli si venga posta oltre a dare consigli opportuni sulla manutenzione e pulizia.Vista la soddisfazione ho acquistato un secondo cuscino e l’ho anche raccomandato ad amici che mi avevano chiesto se glielo consigliavo per i loro problemi all’orecchio.Segnalo che se si volesse un cuscino con la federa che copra anche l’interno del buco, bisogna acquistare il P.W.A.H. “versione 2” che trovate qui su Amazon sempre presso lo stesso venditore.Last but not least il prezzo, che non è sicuramente economico, ma imho è corretto sia perchè viene fabbricato nel Regno Unito e non in Cina sia perchè i materiali sono di pregiata fattura rispetto alla presunta convenienza della concorrenza, e lo dico per esperienza perchè prima di arrivare ad acquistare il P.W.A.H. ho provato qualche altro cuscino che si è rivelato non all’altezza del P.W.A.H. da diversi punti di vista.Spero che questa recensione possa risultare utile
