Title: The worlds we live in
Review: If you’re a VR gamer you’ll know that sometimes, VR time can creep a little and get away from you. If you’re PC VR gamer on air link you’ll have probably been additionally frustrated by the lack of battery time.Fear not young VR explorer! The answer is here. A PCVR link cable for your Quest headset appears in front of you.Plug it in to your PC and the headset, and you can supply additional power to help the signal strength and hopefully keep your headset running for much longer. You’ll see about a 10th of the power being used over what you would normally see from being on battery alone, so your game play time is going to be massively improved. It not made infinitely longer. But the quality of video is so much better, gone are the dropped frames and stuttering, no encoded video means you’re now playing in FULL PC quality on the headset.Cable is flexible and is long enough that it’s not a problem gaming next to the PC, seated or standing.

Title: Syntech – Link Cable 16FT with Fast Charging for Meta Quest 3
Review: Having recently got around to building a new PC that’s capable of handling VR games, I have just started to mess around with my son’s Quest 3. I’ve been using the wireless link option which has worked surprisingly well, but I have found that the battery dies very quickly – you are just getting into things, when it’s time to stop and charge the headset, so I thought I’d try out a link cable. This particular cable from Syntech has a really nice length to it at 16 feet (4.8M). It has a PVC coating which feels nice and sturdy and should provide a decent amount of protection when connected to your headset and you are moving around. On one end you have a USB-A connector that you attach to a USB 3.1 or 3.0 port on your computer, whilst the opposite end is fitted with a 90 degree USB-C connector that plugs in to your headset.Unlike a regular USB A to C cable, this one is also fitted with a small rectangular box that contains some electronic components that allow you to actually charge the headset whilst you are playing. This is accomplished by connecting your headsets mains adapter to the small boxes USB-C input.***** In The Box *****1 x 16’ Link Cable1 x User Guide***** Conclusion *****I have only been using this product for a short amount of time, but have been really pleased with it’s performance and unlike the wireless link I have been using where the battery drains really quickly, when using this cable I am able to play continuously. The cable and connectors all have a really decent, high quality and solid feeling to them and I like that Syntech thought about the type C connector and fitted a 90 degree version, so that when connected to the Quest 3, the cable runs towards the back of the headset and can be attached to the strap to help keep it out of the way.I think the £24.99 asking price is very reasonable given the quality of the product and definitely worth the extra over a standard cable that does not offer the charging function that this one has.

Title: Continuous SteamVR
Review: I picked this cable up to use when seated next to my PC playing SteamVR games as using AirLink for this flattens the battery pretty quickly. The length is perfect to go from a floor mounted PC straight to the headset and allow freedom of movement while also providing a fast low latency link. The speed test comes out at 2.9Gbps which is about as fast as you can get with a quest 2.The charging port is close to the PC end which is ideal and it does work too keep the headset charged while playing which is the main use case for this cable. The cord is a little bit chunky, but if you clip it to the head strap it’s not heavy enough to be noticeable. It’s probably not long enough for room scale VR but if you want to play PC VR or SIM racing, this is perfect.Overall I’m really happy with this link cable.

Title: Works perfectly with the Meta Quest
Review: I have always had issues with third party extra long cables, but to my surprise this worked really well. No interruptions whatsoever, and the cable itself is very robust so is ideal for a long session with your Meta Quest. I’d recommend as a good 3rd party replacement.

Title: Great option for charging while gaming
Review: Ordered this to replace a damaged official Meta link cable (which was criminally priced by Meta). This item has an advantage as it allows charging of the device while gaming. Item arrived well packaged in a small cardboard box with basic instructions. One point to note, is that charging will be affected if playing high end/demanding games. This is used primarily for a VR flight sim, and so far the results have been decent. The cable is well made with a right angled usb-c port at the headset end, a charging block in the middle of the cable (which is USB-C powered) and a usb-c at the PC end. Also included is a velcro strap to allow attachment to the headstrap. Price wise, I think the price break is spot on, which represents good value for money compared to the official Meta product. The claims of charging are a little overstated, with the need for a more powerful charger needed for full charging during game play. Overall, not a bad product- recommended .. B+

Review: My MQ3 almost exclusively gets used to link to my PC for sculpting and concepting. The official Meta Link cable is truly a high quality cable. But, it will not maintain a charge with almost any standard USB/TB4 port. It’s a baffling thing, but it is what it is.This Link Cable on the other hand is exactly what you want for any real working (or playing) sessions to have the legs to compete with a dedicated PCVR headset. One thing to note, occasionally, I noticed that the cable wasn’t charging or would do so intermittently. I simply unplugged and re-plugged the PD cable, and that was it – right back to it. This happened only twice in the month that I’ve been using it daily.Other reviewers have noted this already, but consider getting a higher output brick. The 18W brick that comes with the MQ3 is… acceptable. It won’t really make charging or sustaining power all that great though if you’re really pushing the headset. I’d suggest a 30W unit to absolutely guarantee that everything runs smoothly.I’m disappointed that I wasted the money on the official Link cable. Just doesn’t cut it. Get this if you’re serious about using your headset!
