Review: We’ve held it over places where we knew there were pipes, it picked up nothing, over places where we knew there was wiring, nothing and when it did beep to say there was a stud there, you would then move the “detector” back over the spot to find there is nothing there, when I then drilled into the area, guess what???? THERE WAS NO WOODEN STUD THERE!!! This thing is utterly useless.

Review: I was tasked with putting up a “floating” shelf. In the kitchen. The biggest problem being. It was over a series of electric sockets, at one end. The metal bracket for the shelf, was going to be quite close to where I presumed the wires would be running in the wall. Using this device, I was able to determine that the screws for the bracket, would be a good 4″ away from any hidden electric cables. It certainly took away the uncertainty of drilling into the wall. The digital readout is so easy to see, and makes it an absolute doddle to use.
