Title: Better than the soldering iron I had.
Review: Bought this because my previous soldering iron was being moody and difficult. This one seemed to have the right combination of features, price, and not looking hideous.Tested it by doing some capacitor replacement on an old telescope power board, and it performed much better than my old one. It comes up to temperature quickly, although from a solder melt test don’t believe that it’s at temperature the moment the screen indicates it is. Give it another 30 sec or so. But still, it’s far better than I was used to which should make me more likely to actually solder things again.Comes with the usual accoutrements. The helping hands aren’t incredibly strong, but together with a small box they held the board I was working on in position OK. The roll holder is easy to attach and the whole station seems reasonably solid.The mains power lead could definitely be a bit longer, but the lead on the iron itself was a comfortable length and moved freely without impeding the iron (my previous one had a thick mains cable and the due to the weight of that kept trying to throw itself off tables, which was suboptimal). The plastic soldering iron holder area which I had my doubts about seems to be fine and holds it firmly.Going from a standalone iron and an aftermarket spring type holder to a soldering station feels like a step up, simply being able to put the iron in the holder and turn around and be sure it isn’t going to fall over is a big quality of life improvement.Only had it 2 days so can’t comment on durability, but seems OK so far.

Title: Reallly useful bit of kit
Review:  So i recently bought from this company a soldering/piro kit. I thought i wouldnt need another soldering iron for a while. Unfortunately my dayghtwr tried the piro bit and that was the end of me having a soldering iron.I was going to just get a stand alone one but this came up as a choice and as i always struggle holding and soldering ar the same time i thought id give it a go.Its vwry good, comes with different tips, heats up quick and has that handy sponge thing..It also comes with some solder but i like the make i have always used so i binned that bit.So another 5 star from me, just need to keep it away from my daughter.

Title: Decent entry-level adjustable soldering iron.
Review: I think this soldering iron is great value for money, and it makes a really good first iron, or a good step-up from a cheap, non adjustable iron.This iron features a ‘proper’ base unit and has a temperature adjustment control with a readout to tell you how hot the iron is. This can be a game-changer if you are doing very fine soldering. My main electronics iron is a temperature-adjustable solder station, and it was a huge improvement over the cheap iron I used before. This is not quite as good as my ‘old faithful’, but it’s a worthy backup.The ‘helping hands’ clip can be useful or a hindrance depending on the job. The solder reel holder is genius.The iron even comes with a selection of bits. I highly recommend getting some tip cleaner, and tinning the bits properly.At this price, it’s hard to find anything to criticise.

Review:  I have not had a proper soldering station before and this really impressed me. I can with all the accessories anyone might need. The solder feels high quality when using it and the solder wick include does the job well too. Before I was using an old soldering iron which you just plug into the wall and wait to heat up, it was quite dangerous even with heat proof mats. Bit this one have fine temperature control which work really well for fine and intricate work and also for larger projects where you need more heat. I have tested it by soldering together the PCB in the picture and work extremely well, and knew exactly when to start using it as it has a countdown time on the front to tell you when it’s ready to use and up to temperature. Really great, highly recommend for light hobbyist or if you use it every day.

Title: A great addition to the workbench!!
Review: I have needed a proper soldering station and this one is great! It comes with many accessories and works really well! It beats having a soldering iron loose on the bench, plus never quite knowing if or when it’s at the right temp. The fine temperature control works for many different types of projects. It is really awesome and I highly recommend it for light to medium hobbyists.

Review: – L’article reçu correspond tout à fait à celui de l’image.- Après une 1ère utilisation pour dessouder et ressouder un switch sur une clé de voiture, cette petite station me fait bonne impression. J’espérais une montée en température assez rapide… au final, c’est encore plus rapide que je le pensais (vraiment top).- Pour faire quelques soudures par an, elle convient très bien. Les 2 bras articulés sont simples mais pratiques.- J’ai mis de côté le rouleau d’étain fourni car il est sans plomb… l’utiliser nécessite une température plus élevée… et plus ça chauffe, plus on accentue le risque d’endommager précocément l’élément chauffant. A ce prix, je ne m’attends pas à ce que l’élément chauffant soit de haute qualité, donc faire attention…- Au final, une bonne petite station qui donne satisfaction… A voir dans le temps.
