Title: So fast. Feels good.
Review: The specs really says it all. It punches above its weight in many ways. So far it’s been running perfectly and very cool. Like, surprisingly cool.This is noted in profession reviews which can be read elsewhere. I’d like to focus on the price and what you get.With several 1TB NVME being around £40 what sets this apart for the extra £10-15?DRAM cache. If you don’t know what that is then you probably don’t need it. And the other drives will seem just as good.I don’t need it. But I like knowing it’s there.

Title: Good laptop NVMe drive
Review: I’m happy with this. Seems to run cooler and use less battery power than most competitors, and is decently quick in a Dell Precision 7650 laptop. No signs of throttling on large writes. Price was good for 2TB. Simply no downsides to report. I’d buy another one, and will.

Title: Low power, so less heat
Review: Specifically looked for this model as it was rated as having the lowest power usage amongst it’s peers.It is being used on an Orange Pi 5+ in the aluminum enclosure, so I was looking to avoid heat related issues/throttling.Performance is good, though not “class leading”, but in my use case, the performance is more than adequate.

Review: Summary: 4/5 = GoodCons:- The first delivery of the SK Hynix Gold P31 arrived in a large envelope. The SSD box inside had a damaged protection sticker, and the drive itself was missing. I immediately reported this to Amazon customer service, and they processed a refund quickly. After receiving the refund, I reordered the same model without further issues.- The Amazon listing stated that the item was “Sold by SK Hynix EU,” but it’s unclear who this entity refers to. The official SK Hynix website lists a UK headquarters at Unit 4, Horizon Business Village, 1 Brooklands Road, Weybridge, Surrey KT13 0TJ. However, “SK Hynix EU” is not mentioned on their site, and the package was delivered to local Amazon center within around 9 hours of placing the order, making it unlikely to have been shipped from within the European Union. The SK Hynix website lists M2M and EG Electronics International AB as official distributors for the UK.- The official software for this SSD, Drive Manager: Easy Kit (32-bit) C2.7.1, was unable to detect the drive when it is connected via USB. As a result, checking the drive with this software was not possible. To test the SSD, third-party software like CrystalDiskInfo must be used, or the drive needs to be connected directly to the motherboard via an M.2 connector.- Additionally, there have been no firmware updates for this drive in recent years, whereas other brands like Samsung and Kioxia provide more frequent firmware updates.- Note that the mounting screw is not included with the package.Pros:+ Amazon resolved the initial issue with the missing drive, and the replacement was delivered in perfect condition.+ Prime delivery was on time (next-day), with the packaging intact. The drive inside was wrapped in foil with an additional protective sticker.+ S.M.A.R.T. parameters were checked using third-party software, and the drive appears to be new and functioning as expected.Unknown:? Performance, temperature under stress, and other parameters have not yet been tested.? Durability is unknown at this time.? The 5-year limited warranty has not yet been tested in practice.

Title: Decent speeds…
Review: It’s not Gen 5 but unless your at the cutting edge of tech it’s not really a required speed. For the average consumer and prosumer this nvme drive is fast and very reliable, certainly good enough for my HP Probook G6 and most recent PCs. Good software available from the website with firmware updates for the drive too. Great price and service from Amazon.

Review: Premesso che lo ho in uso da pochi giorni, per il momento posso confermare che è conforme alle specifiche.Velocità di lettura e scrittura come da attesa.Scalda poco, ha raggiunto i 60 C durante la scrittura nel test disk mark, per poi scendere attorno ai 55 subito dopo; a sistema idle riporta 45 C.Il software di clonazione disco ha funzionato senza problemi.Sicuramente da prendere in considerazione; prezzo competitivo quando in offerta.
