Title: Good kettle let down by poor mechanism
Review: Bearing in mind even the cheapest kettles have figured out the on off switch, you would think an otherwise nice quality kettle like this would have done the same! Sadly however, the on off switch is a lottery, sometimes needing 10 to 15 tries before it catches. And to add insult to injury, when the damn thing boils it takes and age for it to auto shut off and in the meantime your kitchen is all steamed up. Why they couldn’t fit a decent on off switch is beyond me as the rest of the kettle is good quality? Am returning it.

Title: Unpleasant taste which persisted.
Review: This kettle does all it is supposed to do but the slightly chemical taste took a lot longer than usual to disappear. Despite rinsing out then boiling 2 full capacity kettle loads and disposing of each, the taste of? chemical/ ? grease, ? cleaning solution was still obvious 10 days later. It disappeared after boiling up 1/2 litre cold water with 1/2 litre of distilled white vinegar, leaving to cool then reboiling the same solution again before discarding.. That cleared it.

Title: Scale!
Review: Bought this kettle as the element is hidden in the base so ‘should’ do away with constant descaling. First week had to descale it as full of bits. I only use filtered water! Also I can’t remove the filter as there’s no room in the opening to get at it. I need to descale it again (4 weeks since I got it) so will have to pour water in from the spout to clean off the filter! Would have asked to return it but unfortunately the box was binned! My old kettle only needed descaling every 4-6 months. This photo is two weeks on. Now only 6 weeks old. Having to buy another as when I descale it this time it will be the 3rd time in 6 weeks!! What a waste of my money. Now buying yet another new kettle but not this make!!

Title: Kettle problem -lid will not open.
Review: When first used the kettle was difficult to open. After the first boil to sterilise the kettle would not open. The kettle returned. A replacement received the same day. A very good service. The replacement had the same problem. I discovered the lid seal was not fitted properly. I refitted the seal and the kettle works fine. That was probably the problem with the first kettle. Thank you for the speedy service.

Review: Looks exactly as photos, boils quickly, lovely blue light on boiling, pours OK… BUT no filter included and lid just WILL NOT open, making it difficult and possibly dangerous to fill. Should have read the other reviews more closely, therefore not particularly good value for money. I wonder if this item was quality checked? Hmmm …Couldn’t face the trouble of returning it. Most disappointed.
