Title: A bit big for travel
Review: Although the product listing mentions suitability for travel, it is a fairly large item that wonâ€™t necessarily be easily stowed within luggage. It does have a reasonably sized tank and a small jug is supplied to facilitate filling, which adds a fair amount of weight to an already weighty item.It feels quite heavy to hold after only a short period of use and the relatively short power lead makes application a little trickier than is desirable and means you may also wish to pack an extension cable if you take this travelling. It does reduce heavy creases, but doesnâ€™t make a previously un-ironed item look like it has had enough attention to wear.A small list of dos and donâ€™ts is included in the instruction leaflet and are fairly obvious, applying to any steamer/ironing device.

Title: No steam! Nothing comes out. It looks good but does not work at all
Review: Ordered this some time ago but only used once. I tested it heated up and a little steam came out but used it only very briefly, checking it worked so switched off almost immediately.This time actually wanted to put it to use and regrettably have to update my review as there is no steam at all. It switched on, indicator lights show it’s ready to use and steam head is hot but no steam comes out when you operate it.I referred back to instructions leaflet again and made sure I followed it carefully but this device does everything but actually produce steam.

Title: brilliant item
Review: I’ve just unpacked a jacket from a travel; case and 10 minutes with this and it looks great and is wearable tonight.just hang the garment up and turn this on – the creases just melt away under the steam.Very useful and a good size.A must have in a hotel room!

Title: Not the most convenient travel item
Review: So I have no intention of throwing this in my travel bag, it is a bulky item. But as steamers go it s fairly small, so it depends how much room you have in your bag I guess.The steam is pretty straightforward to use, fill the water container, switch it on, wait for it to be ready and you ready to get started.I do find that this is good for get small or less persistent wrinkles out of shirts and jackets, but a solid wrinkle will take quite a bit of time with a steamer and you may have to resort to an iron anyway.It is handy though for curtains, since they not easy to iron and their weight generally pulls out the steamed wrinkle.I do wish the cable was longer, I find that I need to be pretty close to the power point, this means if my clothes are hanging up I have very little flexibility of movement, the item is coming to the steamer, unless I go unwrap an extension cord. I do realize a very long cord is unpractical, but the length could be 50cm to 100cm longer and that would make so much difference.

Title: Works well but inadequate packaging
Review: The brush attachment arrived broken. I think it is not protected enough in the product box and the weight of the steamer cracked it. Upon removing the attachment from its plastic packaging bag, the spring fell out. I was able to insert this back and fit the attachment to the steamer but I don’t think it is wise using the brush attachment I received on furniture because it will likely snap into two pieces. Unsure why it doesn’t come already fitted to the steamer or comes protected with bubble wrap or some other packaging material.The steamer works well. There is a noticeable difference between the two steam outputs. A slight fiddle to remove the water tank. The stopper for the water tank could be a bit more substantial. It may also be beneficial if the opening inlet of the water tank was larger. This would aid filling it and help with getting rid of excess water left inside of it.The steamer seems quite large for travel use and is more suitable for home use. I suppose it depends how much spare space there is to pack it for travelling.

Title: Decent enough design but …
Review: … don’t expect it to replace a good steam iron. I think it’s great to help drop out a few creases but it’s too big IMO for travel unless say you’re sharing baggage across a family or couple and have the space, and for the inevitable creases that come from washing and drying clothes, so standard creased style, you need an iron. So if you have an item, say a suit that has creases around the back of the jacket from sitting in a long meeting, then this will sort you out so you arrive the next day with the creases largely gone. That’s how I used it on a suit that was ready for going out to the dry cleaners. But for the shirts just hung to dry they both needed to be steam ironed. The big saving will come from extending the wearable life of a suit, or similar, through less dry cleaning.
