Painting textured surfaces made easier

Painting masonry surfaces can be tricky and, just as it’s important to choose the right paint, choosing the right roller is critical to getting the best result and avoiding time-consuming and costly extra work. Designed specifically to tackle textured surfaces, this trade quality paint roller has been engineered with one key purpose: durability. Whereas softer fabrics will rapidly degrade and be ripped apart, this roller features ultra-tough polyamide fabric.

Polyamide has the highest abrasion resistance of all textile raw materials even when wet, that ensures the roller stands up to the demands of rough and very rough surfaces such as brick, breeze block, cement, renders, stucco (exterior cement plaster) and pebbledash. The fabric is machine woven, giving the fibres a double anchor with low lint and excellent durability, standing up to heavy duty use and washing out well after use, enabling the roller to be reused time after time.

Unlike standard cage rollers, this roller also features a layer of padding between the fabric and the core that enables it to cope with the punishing demands of heavily textured surfaces that can rapidly degrade many rollers. Acting like a suspension system, the padding absorbs the peaks and troughs of the surface profile, keeping the roller constantly in contact with the substrate. The 18mm (0.75″) long pile loads up plenty of paint – essential for efficiency when painting masonry so you’re reloading less often – and is effective at getting into surface textures for rapid application without missing areas.

This roller is 10” (250mm) width and requires a stick system frame with an 8mm diameter bar (not compatible with cage frames). For best results the roller should be washed in cold or tepid water before first use to remove any loose fibres. Stand the roller on its end and allow it to dry fully (ideally overnight) before using.

As well as standard cage rollers, a range of ultra heavy duty padded rollers is also available.

Paint brushes

ProDec has flat brushes and block brushes that are tailored to masonry surfaces and deliver paint right into even heavy textures for fast, efficient coverage.

Extension poles

Working off the ground and above head height means you’re less mobile, so efficiency is key. Using an extension pole greatly increases your reach and ProDec has rugged, trade quality poles than can withstand heavy duty use with even the biggest rollers and on the roughest surfaces.

Paint scuttles

Scuttles hold much more paint than trays, meaning that you don’t have to regularly reload them and enabling you to work more quickly and efficiently. ProDec scuttles feature a robust construction and a low centre of gravity when full of paint, so they’re not easily knocked over.

Telescopic ladders

Robust yet lightweight, ProDec’s telescopic ladders extend to a range of heights for maximum flexibility. They are loaded with features to keep you safe, including 150kg load bearing capacity, soft close rung collapse mechanism and rubber footers for maximum stability.

Work platforms

Lightweight and portable, our range of aluminium platforms extend your reach vertically and gives increased left to right reach compared to stepladders. They fold down to a compact size quickly and easily for transport and storage.

Swivel pot hook

A simple yet incredibly useful tool that safely grips paint cans and kettles up to 5 litres, with a universal hook that enables it to be securely attached to ladders and scaffolding for easy hands free access.
