Title: Quality and Precision.
Review: These wire strippers are precision ground and very sharp. No more yanking the insulation from wires and damaging the conductor in the process.I have tried lots of wire strippers across a wide spectrum of pricing and these are probably the best value ones I’ve used. They can handle 22 gauge wire upwards (16 gauge max, I think) and are great for the professional and hobbyist alike in electronics or electrical installation. There’s a handy thumb operated catch to lock them in a safe closed position as they are lightly spring loaded to aid use. They are made from hardened steel and have comfortable textured rubberised handle grips with hanging holes at the ends of the handles. Due to the design it’s possible to use them to strip very short lengths of insulation which would be impossible using automatic wire strippers due to design limitations. Great value for a quality product.

Title: Excellent, they handle finer wire than most of the alternatives
Review: These are excellent. They’re well made, precise and they can strip finer wire than some of the alternatives, they go down to 34 AWG (0.25 mm). This is fantastic because they can even handle the very fine wire wrap wire that I use for connections on PCBs when building electronics. Highly recommended if you’re constructing anything with fine connector wire.

Title: I’m delighted, wish I’d bought these years ago rather than making do with cheap manglers.
Review: You know that feeling you get when you find a quality tool after years of putting up with something average (or junk)? That’s how I feel now. These are not made for heavy duty electrical work, but they are perfect for working on electronics. Small, light, and very sharp. There is only one tiny criticism I can make, and I’m really being picky here just for the sake of a full review. After factory grinding of the cutting edges for the blades, there was a tiny burr left on each of the leading edges of the little pillars between the wire stripping holes. It’s quite difficult to explain exactly what I mean, but you can feel it immediately when running a finger over the flat side of the “scissor” where the blades cross over..This could possibly cause a bit of a ragged strip on really delicate wires, although the burr is so thin that it would wear off after a couple of uses anyway. (see what I mean when I say I’m really stretching it to find any fault at all?). I gently ran a needle file over the sides of the little “pillars” between the blades a couple of times to knock off the burrs, being careful not to file the cutting edges.I also found the spring a bit weak at first, sort of “spongy” rather than “springy”, but after using it for a while you quickly realise that this is probably by design, and means the repetitive motion of opening and closing to strip the wires requires almost no effort which makes it very comfortable to use.I’m delighted, wish I’d bought these years ago rather than making do with cheap manglers.

Title: The best wire strippers I have come across
Review: These are easy and reliable to use. Being Japanese the build quality is excellent. The handles are comfortable and look and feel resilient. From reading a 2015 review I expected the spring to be weak. Evidently someone in Osaka took note and rectified the issue; my spring is fairly strong (but not too stiff).Probably most buyers use these in electronics but my interest is in modelling. So it might be useful to know that the metric wires that can be stripped are: 0.25, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, 0.65, 0.8 and 0.95mm diameters. Plenty of metric wires are 1mm and the 0.95mm dia setting works fine.

Title: overall good but nut became loose
Review: After a year or intermittent use, these strippers didn’t close fully. This meant you couldn’t engage the locking tab nor close them properly to strip. You had to manually separate the two edges at the end so they closed properly. I figured out that it was the nut on the joint that had worked loose, which is rather unusual for a pair of pliers 1.5 yrs old, so I tightened up the nut and they were ok again. Precision state not to tighten up with wrench on both sides but to use wrench and allen key, or u can break the pliers. This aside, they are ergonomically comfortable to use and whilst it is not stated if they are insulated or not, the thermoplastic grips should provide some degree of electrical insulation. So fairly good but room for improvement. In hindsight I should have bought the pair for thinner wire but then again i was working with thicker cables for a while so I probably need another pair for thin stuff.

Review: This is ideal, for working with pre wired micro SMD LEDs. WOW. It’s gauged only for 22 gauge to 34 gauge wire stripping, and that’s exactly why I got it. The pair seems a bit big in the photo, and I’m not sure why as there isn’t anything in the pic to compare it to. It’s not large at all. It’s about the size of a smaller needle nose pliers. 17.5 cm or 7 inch. It’s just right. Not big and heavy, but – trust me – really engineered well. The wire that I needed this for is so fine even trying to melt the insulation off the wire actually burns the wire right off! When I first used it I thought I had put the wire in the size slightly too big for it and assumed the wire just slipped through. NOPE! It’s just that darn sharp and its jaw shape is just that well designed. No resistance. No cut into my super fine wire. Just the perfect tool for this. And yes! this stripper is so fine and delicate when it works thru a wire end, you feel no resistance! I know the insulation is lighter with this size wire but it’s just a fluid experience. And I know you don’t need an aesthetic experience when you strip wire. What I’m saying is this is really engineered with excellence. It works without tugging or clamping into a wire with a stupid – hard grip. This stripper is so great. I now call it my best wiring tool. Wow. I feel dumb I didn’t buy it sooner. You get your moneys worth, here.

Review: I was looking for a precision wire stripper for my electronics bench and this product did not disappoint. I was impressed with the quality of construction of the tool and ergonomic feel of the handle. This tool is precision made and strips small gauge solid wire for prototyping, wire-wrapping or breadboard purposes. The jaws of the stripper come together with a precision feel, and it has a lock for when the tool is stored. It accurately strips insulation of 22, 24 and 34 gauge wires without nicking the wire (those are the most common wire gauges I use on my bench). Would order again if needed a replacement.
