Title: Generally good printer
Review:  After receiving the PM246S thermal label printer, I started to set it up. The setup was a bit of a nightmare because no drivers or user guide were included, just a Quick Start Guide, power cable and USB printer cable. This Quick Start guide only takes you through the initial setup. Installing the drivers, once downloaded, was very easy though. Once everything was setup, I then needed something to create the labels and again there wasn’t anything included to do that.After the initial hassle of getting everything required to get the printer connected and setup, I managed to create the labels and I’ve got to say, it was all worth it, because the printer is pretty very good. The speed is amazing, I had the quality and speed settings on mid-way and the print was very clear. The information suggests 60 labels per minute and I can well believe that. There is a large array of different types of labels available. This printer is supplied with a dozen 4” x 6” labels, the sort of size that goes onto medium sized postal packages. The labels provided were of a good quality as well. I found a sample label and it printed really well. There is no Bluetooth which is a bit disappointing though.In summary, this is a very capable and good quality printer, and if it ran on Bluetooth also, would be perfect. But even with the USB cable connection, it is still a very decent label printer. I would recommend it.

Title: Great desktop thermal printer
Review: My past experience with thermal printers was limited to the small, app-controlled pocket printers, so this bigger desktop printer is a significant upgrade. It does take up more space, but it can do bigger jobs and the print quality is better too. I like that it can be directly connected to my PC, but the installation was a bit more complicated than just downloading an app, and there are more settings too so it could be overwhelming for less tech-savvy users (like me for instance).

Title: Great once you manage to set it up
Review:  I got this little printer to print my postage labels. It doesn’t come with the best of instructions but a quick start guide allows you to download the drivers needed onto the laptop which was easy enough. I wasn’t sure what to do after this point. There was already a test print label hanging out of the machine so I tried to print another label but it printed another test page and another!After three wasted labels it decided to play ball and printed the address label.The label quality is excellent and the print speed is so fast so if you’re printing off multiple orders this will save you so much time.I’m surprised how few labels come with this printer considering the price tag.I am over the moon with this little printer and once I get some more labels I will be ready to go again.

Review: This thermal label printer is a very handy device for us, as my husband has his own business.Because it’s nice and compact it’s easy to take with him wherever he goes, and when he’s out of the house he can connect easily to it via a USB to his laptop.It doesn’t take up much room on a desk, it’s fast and prints precisely.It has a great resolution and offers very quick printing. All the barcodes and QR codes are perfect and we’ve not had any problems with them being read.It seems to have ideal balance right between speed and print quality and the low printing costs are surprising.It’s very straightforward to set up and is compatible with many major online marketplaces.There’s a good number of label styles, sizes and shapes to choose from.So far, I can say that this thermal printer is low maintenance has great ease of use and reliability. It’s feels solidly made and looks great.This is an eco friendly option for us with no ink or other consumables capable of contaminating the environment.The heat acts on the thermal paper, completely eliminating the need for cartridges, and on going costs.In my opinion this is a great addition to my husbands business and will help him reduce costs, and save time.It’s good value for money, easy to use and performs well.I hope you find my review helpful.

Review: Overall great thermal printer for the price. Easy set up with a computer, forget phones or tablets, it’s not compatible. Was able to print different formats of white and clear labels quickly and with a rather good resolution. The only thing that bothers me is that sometimes the printer looses communication with the driver and you need to unplug it or reset it by turning off and on again. Also, every time you print, you have to re-enter your specs again in the app, it doesn’t register your preferences and is set by default to 4×6 labels, annoying if you print different formats. Cue to the company: that could be easily fix with a software patch. Otherwise, a good printer to begin with. Finally, they don’t mention it but this printer only does square or rectangular labels: rounds don’t work unless you have the 2×2 inch format, all the other formats in the driver are rectangular labels. I am disappointed to not be able to print 1 inch round labels for my bottle caps.

Review: This is my first foray into using a dedicated thermal label printer and I have not been disappointed.The Phomemo is a direct hard-wire connected printer meant for use with a computer (and not wirelessly). Because of this limitation, the cost is basically half that of other label printers.You will need to get a roll or stack of 4×6 thermal labels. For myself, I purchased the stack version. The roll version of the labels requires an additional devices that basically acts as a toilet paper roll holder that sits behind the printer. Stacked thermal labels on the other hand, can simply sit directly on the desk behind the printer, and don’t require any special tray or other device to hold them in place, but they should be lined up properly, and not moved afterwards.What I’ve discovered in experimenting with label printers is that the software is what really matters the most. There are so many options out there, and some integrate with billing systems too.I would recommend this unit from Phomemo, if you have a dedicated work station for printing. It is not really portable because of the USB and power supply connections needed to get this thermal label printer working.

Review: This printer is/was one of the most affordable or price competitive thermal printers on Amazon when I ordered it. I believe the price may have gone down, but all prices are always fluctuating. The point is that the Phomemo line of printers all work great as I have tried many.This one in particular I use for printing shipping labels in the 4×6 format. It is easily recognized by my shipping provider’s software which happens to be QZ Tray, and from there I am able to import all of my shipments from amazon, etsy, ebay, shopify, etc.. they all work!It prints fast and sharp and it accurately senses when to stop feeding the thermal labels. It will take all sizes of thermal labels up to 4″ wide. I’ve used it to print on 2×2 thermal stickers, and even 1×1. So not only does it take care of all my shipping label needs, but it also does other stickers for me too and works on all types of thermal papers even glossy foil surface thermal stickers!These used to be hundreds of dollars even for a very cheaply made one, and yet this one is plug and play, easy to use, and does not look or feel or operate cheaply at all, so the value is amazing on this.The versatility – obviously amazing as it works plug and play and even comes with an adapter for MAC computers (which is a USB type C looking plug that fits into Macs, and allows you to connect regular USB A printer cable on the other end. Phomemo also includes a small stack of 4×6 labels to get you started, and instructions on the software that is optional to download to use to make your own custom labels which is actually a great piece of software.The support from Phomemo is also great as they are not a fly-by-night printer company like some that I have seen. They have an Amazon store, a website, and a whole line of products.I am very impressed and happy with this printer.
