Title: Good with Alexa
Review: Normally used Linkind smart bulbs from Amazon, but they haven’t been available for quite some time. Bought these Philips bulbs simply to try and see if they offered a good alternative to the Linkind. No problem found on pairing them with the Zigbee hub in my Echo, in fact very simply achieved by asking Alexa to look for Zigbee light, (specifying Philips Hue connected the bulb to nearest Echo Show, assume Bluetooth, which was not wanted). Without the Philips Hue app, probably have lost a few facilities, but I have power on/off and dim functions, which is all I need. Main thing is that the zigbee connection is robust, which to date it has been. Light output strength is good, and the colour (slightly warm) is what I wanted.

Title: Good for the kitchen
Review: Having wrestled with a few Tuya bulbs over the years, they always felt cheap, had trouble getting paired & showing their full range of adjustments, and then went bad after some time. These ones feel a lot more like a premium product, pair easily with Home Assistant + Sky Connect, & always show all their options. These are brighter than the smaller golf ball bulbs I also bought & have decent coverage when used in downlight sockets. They will project slightly because they’re quite long but that just means you don’t need as many to cover the same area. Would be nice if they’d let you monitor energy usage too.

Title: Philips doing what they know best – superb built product
Review: First time buying these Philips Hue LED lights for a trial. The Philips App is very well designed and it takes few minutes to get the whole process sorted.The quality of the bulbs are superb, as you’d expect from Philips, and the actual lighting experience along with the selectable mood lighting is very useful.The best money I’ve ever spent on lighting product. I’ve now ordered several more for the whole house.!

Title: E27 and not E14…
Review: For some reason the main photos on this listing for Philips Hue White A60 E27 Edison Screw Smart Bulbs show the E14 version and not the full-sized E27 version which is what you’ll actually get, two of them to be precise.Theses are a refinement of the existing range with a higher maximum brightness but the same fixed warm white tone of light. You can add them to an existing Hue system and apply one of the Hue Scenes but of course they can’t display anything other than the same shade of white, although they can be dimmed. These do work with the dynamic candlelight and fireside options though and so you get a warm gently flickering effect that adds atmosphere to your room.They paired very easily with the Hue app and so Alexa and Google assistants found them straight away and they were ready to use and add to Routines without much effort. The fixed colour is a real limitation and getting the White Ambiance versions adds a lot more variety to the shades of white light you can produce, but also adds to the price of course and might be difficult to justify. The Hue system remains the most comprehensive and versatile though, so these are among the most affordable way to build your Hue system.

Title: Works easily with Alexa
Review: I did a lot of research and went for the more expensive because I wanted seamless integration with Alexa. These work brilliantly with Alexa; there is a set up routine to follow that isn’t clear. Step 1 set up in the Philips hue app. Step 2 set up in the Alexa app and follow the steps where it asks if you’ve set it up in the hue app. After that Alexa quickly discovers and sets it up.
