Title: Pretty palette
Review: This eyeshadow palette is packaged in a feminine floral compact. The case is plastic and feels decently sturdy. The compact contains four eyeshadows, a mirror and two makeup brushes. The case is lovely and would make a great stocking stuffer.I didn’t use the included brushes because I prefer my own and I did use a primer. The eyeshadows went on smoothly, but were a little difficult to blend. They are well pigmented and easy to build colour up. They had very little fallout. Overall they’re nice, but a bit pricy.

Title: Beautiful case – but colours very light when applied
Review: 3.5 starsI have the ’01 Cafe terrace’ version of this palette, which has shades of gold and brown-ish red. Two shades are matt and two are glitter tones. The box and packaging are lovely. The compact with mirror especially looks beautiful in person. The case is easy to open and close, and it comes with two mini brushes which seem decent for in-pack brushes.When I applied the eyeshadow, I found it blends into the skin very well. However, it applies light and is very subtle – and I feel in terms of the colour is a lot more subtle than other eyeshadows I’ve used. I found it difficult to build, so I feel it would work best if you want a subtle look. The gold glittery shade is quite glittery and sticks to the face, so I’d use that one carefully and sparingly. At the current price of £33 I feel it’s on the expensive side because of these issues.Overall, I think the design of the case is very beautiful, but feel the actual eyeshadow is disappointing. It’s nice to have as an option if you want a very subtle, almost natural look, but it didn’t really work for me for something bolder.

Title: Good for darker skins
Review: I’m pleased to say this Paul & Joe eye colour palette is good for South Asian / brown skins, as so often they just aren’t pigmented enough. The brown in 04 Film d’Amour is surprisingly pigmented, and goes on rather deeply (a little goes a long way!). The other shades, a pink, silver and gold, are much sheerer in comparison, though the colours can be built up to a nice effect. The gold is especially nice though, for my skin tone, needs to go over the darker brown shade to become visible against the skin (the gold shadow itself is more like a sheer pomade with glitter). The three sheerer shades don’t have great sticking power on their own, but any worn over the brown have lasted me the whole day without problems. All go on well with brushes (two mini brushes come with the compact) or fingers. The brown shade crumbles a little too easily, so my compact is already a bit messy. On the whole it’s a really nice compact, but personally I think the moulded plastic of this and other products in the brand make it look a bit dated and not as expensive as it is, though younger users may think this is dead on trend.

Title: Subtle eyeshadow in a pretty compact
Review: This eye colour palette comes in a really pretty novel compact , it has four different colours , three are soft powder and one a cream eye shadow .I rarely wear a blue eyeshadow however I really liked this vintage denim blue it’s soft and subtle, with a slight silver touch and not at all garish , it also blends very well with the other ice blue powder shadow in the compact .The third powder shadow is a warm pink/ peach blush nice to wear as an all over base on your eyelids.The final colour is the cream shadow in deep red / burgundy not a colour I have ever worn before , however I have to say I really liked it on the corner of my eyes …just a small amount but it blended in very well with denim blue and I had no trouble mixing the cream and powder shadows together .This eyeshadow is in the higher price bracket , however I find as I have got older cheaper harder eyeshadows are no longer suitable for me, so very pleased to have this Paul & Joe super quality pallet.

Title: Clearly a luxury product
Review: Although I’ve never heard of this brand before, it’s clear from the packaging as well as the quality that this is a high end item.You get 4 different shades of eye shadow – two shimmery ones and two matt ones, one in pink and one brown. The shimmery ones are rose gold and plain gold.Application is beautiful and smooth, using the small, double ended soft bristled eyeshadow brush. You also get a little applicator to blend everything together.There’s a nice size mirror where you can clearly see what you’re doing, making this eyeshadow set perfect for when you’re on the go.The final look is absolutely gorgeous and I’ll definitely be trying out more makeup products from this brand.

Title: Pricey
Review: The first thing I noticed about this palette was how pretty the compact is aswell as the colours themselves. They also have a very pretty design on them, floral and pretty. The colours seem very pigmented in the palette but aren’t that intense when applied to the skin, especially considering how pale I am. These would be suited well to darker skin tones and probably used as more of a shimmer on top of other eye shadows as they aren’t as pigmented as I expected for the price.
