Title: Something you should know
Review: I’ve used the Patriot Supersonic Rage Prime 12 times for monthly backups then it became annoyingly faulty, sometimes it was recognised by Windows, other times it was not. Touch it and would disconnect or if safely ejected it would reconnect again. I’ve tested it many times in 3 different PCs and the results were always the same.It has a 5 year warranty but customers are responsible for paying the shipping cost to send a defective product to Patriot in The Netherlands and they recommend that you ship it (but not in an envelope) with a carrier service that provides tracking and insurance in case it’s lost or damaged in transit. They recommend DHL, FedEx and UPS, but from the UK this will cost as much as the drive is worth and with two of them substantially more. Needless to say it’ll go in the bin.

Review: Got on sale, should’ve gotten 2! Transfer speeds consistently above 100Mbps, except when transferring lots of volume, device heats up and then slows down. I usually will pause the transfer or just hold the usb to draw off some heat, then resume and it speeds back up. Even when it slows down, it’s not crawling, and the heat isn’t high enough for me to worry about the device. Will buy again when they go on sale.

Review: This drive is amazing. I write large amount of files at one time , sometimes over 100 GBs. It’s faster on large transfers than any other drive , including the ones that say they faster. I’m hitting 500 M/S write sometimes. I don’t know why they sat it’s write speed is so low. I like these so much that I bought 6 of different sizes.Please note that this review was based on a laptop with USB 3.2 Gen1. USB 3.2 Gen 2 is a different story.
