Review: The Nufufa 4 1/2″ and grinder dust shroud may fit some grinders, but it took a couple of hours to get it to fit my Bauer grinder.I’m cutting aluminum extrusions in my shop, and didn’t want aluminum glitter all over everything. This seemed to be a good solution, and it worked eventually, but it turned into a project getting there. The instructions are not great help either.The shroud is plastic, with steel parts where needed. It’s not a really robust setup, but for occasional use it’s ok.Since this is advertised as a universal shroud kit it’s supposed to fit most grinders on the market. There are three light weight steel adjustable tabs that you set to center the arbor to the shroud. Centering the shroud to the grinder is a trial and error process. I also had to enlarge the arbor opening in the shroud to get clearance for the inside blade washer, as it was rubbing. Then the shroud mounting tabs had to be trimmed down, as the washer was flush to the shroud when it was assembled. I was able to trim the tabs to get a blade to barely clear the shroud, but it worked. With a fresh diamond cutoff blade installed it has a cutting depth of 7/8″.Once that was done it worked out pretty well. It sucks up better than 90% of the aluminum dust, so I’m happy with the result. I just wish it hadn’t taken that much fussing to get there.It’s a light duty shroud that is an inexpensive solution for sucking dust up when cutting with a grinder. It’s inexpensive, but it won’t take a lot of abuse. And it sure isn’t universal.

Review: Der NUHFUFA 11,4 cm bis 12,7 cm Winkelschleifer Stabschutz hat bei uns nicht gepasst. Nicht das gehäuse war das Problem, sondern wir konnten die Scheibe nicht sichern (mit 2 Schlüssel). EIn schlüssel gibg nicht zwischen Schreibe und Maschine.Ansonsten macht der NUHFUFA 11,4 cm bis 12,7 cm Winkelschleifer einen soliden Eindruck, im Hobbybereich. Alle Teile waren da. DIe Anleitung ist etwas undurchsichtig, das Video besser.

Review: So apparently I’m 3-dimensionally challenged because I had a helluva time getting this oriented properly on my Fein 7 amp angle grinder. Because it is made to be a near “universal” fitment, there are a few things that can be done to get it mounted more quickly. Loosen slightly the bolts that slide in and out to fit over different sized…(I don’t know what the part of the grinder is called where the safety/spark guard mounts) thingies. My Fein can use up to 115mm/4.5” disks and my Metabo (the made in Germany brand) that fits up to 125mm/5” disks and once I figured out which direction everything should go, it was pretty easy to get it attached securely to each grinder.The base on the one I received could use some finish work. The stamped metal had a burr on one side which, if used on a softer stone like some marbles or travertine, could easily mar it. I took a fine cut file and knocked that raised edge down, following up with 200, 400 and 800 grit sandpaper to make it silky smooth. I have an ash vacuum I use to clean my woodstove that has a very fine filter that works great with this. I also have a water filter from when I was doing a bunch of drywall taping/mudding/sanding that would work in between the grinder and a shop vac.There is a brand-specific Metabo dust shroud attachment selling for ~30% more out there in the web, making this very competitively priced. One main difference is that one looks to be made from a softer, less brittle plastic compared to the clear polycarbonate/plexiglas this one is made with. I think there was a typo in the description, saying the grinder being used should be at 1000 rpm or less. I’m not aware of any angle grinders that slow, so I’m guessing that is supposed to a 10,000 rpm max.

Review: Guter Flexaufsatz für gerade Schnitte und Absaugmöglichkeit. Es handelt sich um ein Produkt mit zufriedenstellenden Eigenschaften, welches gut funktioniert und Spaß macht. Die Qualität ist in Ordnung und es gibt nichts zu beanstanden. Das Produkt würde ich weiterempfehlen. Preis/Leistung kann man wirklich als sehr gut bezeichnen. Wer bessere Qualität möchte, muss auch deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen. Ich kann nicht meckern und gebe eine gute Punktzahl. Der Versand von Amazon ist schnell und das Produkt kommt gut verpackt zu Hause an.
