Title: Very small and easy to setup
Review: This relay/switch is surprisingly small, and easy to fit, but need a fairly deep back box still. Very easy to configure with Home Assistant. I use Zigbee Sonoff dongle E with a Raspberry PI 5. This switch has no neutral connection and hence, it does not act as a router. It is flexible in terms of 2 way wiring, but as far I can see from the wiring diagrams, you need the load wire and the live wire connected to the same switch where you fit this relay, plus 2 traveller wires to the second switch. My house is old and my 2 way switches vary in how they are wired, in one case, I had the load connected to switch 1 and live to switch 2, with 2 travellers between the 2 switches, in which case I could not get this relay to work. In cases where the live and load were connected to the same switch, it worked straight away.I have also used it as a one switch, in which case it is very straightforward.

Title: Works well with Home Assistant
Review: I got this because one of our light switches that I wanted to automate didn’t have a neutral wire to the switch. It connected easily to our Home Assistant & Zigbee-to-MQTT setup and can be automated to switch the light on & off, as well as using the normal light switch to control the light. The unit is small, so fitted in the backbox with no need for a spacer plate or to increase the backbox depth. The only issue was that the instructions were not clear on how to wire up the light switch. The “manual” shows two different ways of wiring it up, one where S1 & S2 are connected via the switch, and one where S1 is disconnected, and S2 is connected to Live via the switch. There was no descriptive text, just two isolated wiring diagrams. There was a comment saying to “switch on & off to adjust the way the switch works” – not exactly descriptive.Anyway, I wired it up with the switch between S1 and S2 (and no Live connection) as that was simpler and meant I didn’t need any Wago connectors in the backbox. Initially it did nothing, but after a couple of switches, it just started working. Not sure if that’s what I was meant to do, or it was pure luck, but it works, so I’m leaving it as is…

Title: Extremely compact, no battery and no neutral wire required.
Review: I’m just starting to move over from, mostly Tapo, proprietary smart home gear and bought this to provide control over a standard ceiling light. Unlike my existing Tapo S210/S220 no-neutral-required switches, this does not require a battery to drive its electronics. I can only assume that it trickles a tiny amount of current through the loop even when switched off to do this. Manual control is provided by a built-in momentary contact switch which is also used to reset the device and to select the external manual switching mode. Connection is provided for an external mains-rated momentary contact switch (e.g. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07F7ZQXSL) or a conventional rocker can be used. It also works as a replacement for the controlling double-pole switch in a hall/landing/stairwell multiple switch configuration. The size of the unit means you’re much more likely to be able to fit this into existing patress boxes than some others but modern UK houses often have very shallow boxes and I found I needed a patress spacer (e.g. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07FJ9C8J8) where a Tapo S210 did not.The wireless connection is fully Zigbee Home Alliance compliant and so should work with any coordinator – I use a Sonoff USB one with Home Assistant which detected and configured the unit as soon as I restored the lighting circuit power.Update———I’m disappointed to report that now it’s been fitted into the recessed metal patress box this device keeps losing contact with the Sonoff USB Zigbee ZHA coordinator connected to my Home Assistant server. To be fair the unit is at the opposite end of the building. I suspect that the distance, along with the Faraday cage effect of the patress box means it’s unable to get enough signal. I’ve purchased a mains-powered Zigbee smart-plug which I’ll connect more locally to act as a repeater to see if that helps.Update #2————As I suspected, after installing a Zigbee smart plug with router functionality closer to this device, my problems with connectivity have been addressed. However, I would recommend using Sonoff’s (or other mfr’s) equivalent-sized Zigbee or WiFi device that requires the neutral in cases where that is available. With the neutral the device can draw more power to maintain a stronger radio link.

Title: just works as intended. easy to integrate but small size = small antenna = low range
Review: LIKES:The size is great (about a chicken Nugget) it could possibly have been a little thinner? but I replaced the pattress box that it fits into.Ease of installation. Theres no negative – so you simply turn the mains off, unplug the legacy manual switch, plug the switch with new wires into the other 2 ports and refit, then turn the mains back on.Legacy switch position – if your used to the switch rocker being in a certain position you can turn it off by Zigbee, put the switch were you want it , then switch it again – well thought out.SLIGHT NIGGLES:As I said in the headline – small size = compromised antenna = minimal radio range performance. My Sonff ZigBee co-ordinator was quite a long way away (200ft – behind 2 breeze block walls, through a terraced garden and into my attic under roof tiles) I needed a ZigBee router to expand my coverage at that distance – My garden topology is not really the devices fault – so not going to mark it down. once the ZigBee routers were sorted – flawless performance. but needs to be born in mind neverthelessANNOYANCES:Honestly? thus far? None!Hope this helpsThanks for reading

Title:

Review: Bisher (1 Monat) funktionieren alle meine switches sehr gut.

Review: It worth noting without wifi connection. I couldn’t connect it to Wi-Fi. I already tried it with multiple devices and it doesn’t find it,I watched many YouTube videos but nothing helps.I like the way it works and I purchased one to test its functionality and if it works I would purchase few for my home.I will try harder tomorrow to pair it to ewelink app or smart life app and if no success I will have to return it back
