Title: Excellent printer for small needs
Review: Iâ€™ve used a lot of thermal label printers over the years, but for smaller labels, my favorite has always been my Nimbot. So, I was really excited to try out the B18 model from Nimbot.The first thing I noticed is how amazing the print quality is. It uses a print ribbon, and you can get a ton of labels from itâ€”about 16 meters worth, which works out to around 320 labels since each one is 50mm.While it uses thermal printing to transfer the ribbon onto the labels, itâ€™s not like the traditional thermal label printers. The labels themselves are plastic, not paper like the standard thermal ones. It even comes with a roll of white plastic labels. The quality is top-notch, and the prints are super clear. Plus, they donâ€™t fade and can last up to 10 years.Iâ€™d definitely recommend this printer. Itâ€™s not a replacement for your regular thermal label printer, but itâ€™s a more premium option that gives you stronger, longer-lasting labels with better print quality.All in all, Iâ€™m really impressed with the Nimbot B18 and can easily recommend it!

Title: Long-life, waterproof labels
Review: I’ve used all manner of thermal label printers over the years and my favourite for smaller ones has always been my Nimbot, which is why I was pleased to be given the opportunity to review this B18 printer from Nimbot.I have to first say, the quality of the print on these is amazing. They actually use a print ribbon, which can do many labels (around 16 metres is quoted. Considering each label is a mere 50mm, that’s up to 320 labels per ribbon). You can also change them out for different colours in between label rolls. I’m really looking forward to getting a red ribbon for printing waterproof labels for my drones, etc.These do use thermal to print the ribbon onto the labels themselves, but not like a thermal label, in the traditional sense. A roll of white labels is included. They’re completely plastic, unlike thermal labels in a standard thermal label printer.Quality is really good and the print perfect. They also won’t fade, so have a 10 year potential life.Definitely recommended. These aren’t a replacement for a normal thermal label printer, but rather a premium, harder wearing and better print quality label. They’re perfectly suited for conditions requiring a more durable and clearer printed label, which is why they’re ideal for drone ID labels, etc.I can certainly recommend this printer.

Title: Great substitute for Dymo, but with a flaw.
Review: The flaw is that despite having a USB-C charging port, it will not charge from a USB-C power outlet! You have to use a USB-A outlet and a USB-A to USB-C cable such as the one supplied. I believe this is for want of two resisters on the circuit board at a cost of a few cents! In contrast to some other Niimbots, this prints via Bluetooth from a phone only, there is no USB PC support although this seems to be in the hardware and may be added later.This is a thermal transfer printer similar to Dymo units, but it uses separate labels and ribbon in contrast to the all-in-one cartridges on Dymo. This means you can mix and match the label background and the printing colour. But at the moment consumables on Amazon are sparse and hard to find: go to Niimbot’s site for a much better selection. This produces longer lasting more robust labels versus the direct thermal process used by most of the Niimbot printers.Excellent value, much more compact and flexible that the Dymo unit it replaced.

Review: God I love this printer. I had it in my wish list for a very long time, and finally bit the bullet when they had a sale price. I’m so glad I did. The software lets you create some amazing label designs and is very easy and simple to use. My only complaint is that I wish they had a version for MacOS so I could use it on my desktop instead of having to only use my phone. It’s just a bit awkward sizing and rearranging things with my finger tips, and I wish I had the option to use a mouse and actual keyboard. There’s one that works for Windows, so hopefully they create a MacOS version at some point.I love that the printer will back up and use unused labels. So if you accidentally pull two labels out and have a blank one, it will back up and use the blank one.I recommend getting the case for it. It holds a couple of extra table rolls and the charging cord. It keeps it protected and organized and is very useful.Excellent product. Well built, great software, excellent design. I love the color and the options. Couldn’t be happier with this.
