Title: Great Monitor Great Value, Great Customer Service
Review: Great portable monitor, bought primarily to have an extra monitor when working away from home but also wanted to be able to attach my phone to stream TV or movies from my phone whilst away. The monitor works well and is very clear, it has built in speakers which given their size are adequate. It works well as a second monitor but because of the capabilities of my ageing smart phone it would not stream from my phone. I contacted the seller and they were really helpful in recommending some specialist cables to allow mirroring. These arrived and although the first ones I ordered were faulty the replacements worked. I have found that when connected to an Amazon firestick I can stream all my favourites and the picture quality is really good especially considering the cost of the monitor. Once the seller had confirmed that I had the monitor working they, even refunded the cost of the cables, what a great seller, thanks

Title: Good screen and great customer service
Review: The screen is good value and works well. We had an issue that we wanted to plug-in to. Nintendo Switch but realised you had to also connect to the mains rather than working off the switch battery which creates a Trip hazard in our set up set up. Customer service was really responsive and helped us find a solution.

Review: This monitor is incredible value. I was a bit skeptical that it could have all the features it has for such a low price. But when I received it everything worked as expected. I use a Macbook Air 2020 M1 for work. I frequently travel and have to work from various locations. Because the screen on my Macboook is small, I thought a portable screen would be perfect to extend my screen real estate while working away from my home office. I love the 2k resolution because it creates more screen space for me to work on. On my Mac I did have to adjust the resolution (Displays -> Scaled) and select the toggle that’s called something like, “Show all resolutions”. Once I pressed that I was able to select the 2k resolution. With 2k, everything is pretty small (such as text), but it’s easy to zoom in and adjust the windows / scale to the right size. Although apparently it’s recommended to use the power cable separately while extending your screen, I was able to use the included USB-C to USB-C cable to power and display from my Macbook. Of course it drains your Macbook battery faster, but if your Macbook is plugged in, you should be able to simply connect the monitor into the laptop and not the wall. I’m not an expert or anything so I don’t know if there are any downsides to this approach for things battery longevity, etc. But so far it’s worked well for me.I also bought this screen to use to watch videos from my phone while traveling. I have a Samsung Galaxy S20 FE. Initially I attempted to connect my phone and it didn’t work. My device just acted like it was charging the monitor or being charged by the monitor. It didn’t recognize the display. I contacted support and received a response within a day. I was recommended a cable that they promised to reimburse me for. I ordered it (HDMI to USB-C video cable) and with it, my phone recognized the monitor as a display but the monitor was still blank. After some troubleshooting, I found out the problem was with my phone, not the monitor. My phone’s USB-C port is damaged so it only communicates power not video. I plugged my younger Brother’s Galaxy S20 into the monitor and it worked immediately with both cables (the included USB-C to USB-C and the separately ordered HDMI to USB-C). I told this to support and they still offered to pay for the ordered cable. Today they reimbursed me as promised. I’ve never had customer service this good.Just a couple things on how the monitor works with a phone plugged in. First, if you have a phone similar to mine, you definitely have to plug the monitor into the wall as well. My brother’s phone’s power output definitely was not powerful enough to power the monitor. Even if it did, I’m sure the phone would be drained very quickly. Much to my surprise, my brother’s Samsung phone got the full 2k resolution on the monitor when mirroring the phone (Galaxy S20). Amazing how powerful phones are nowadays. Another thing I was originally concerned about was whether the display would work with protected content, aka HDCP. If the monitor and cable do not support HDCP, you cannot watch most Netflix, Hulu, etc. shows when mirroring or extending. I tested this and using the included USB-C to USB-C and the later provided USB-C to HDMI video cable, I was able to view protected content on the display, so I assume it supports HDCP. Amazing!A quick note on other features. As other reviews have said, the speakers are not very good quality. But that’s not at all what I bought it for. My Macbook’s speakers are good and it’s easy to connect headphones to the sources device. So I didn’t care that they didn’t sound good. Also, some have complained about the magnetic foldable case/mount. It’s true that the magnet isn’t super strong, but it mainly stays mounted fine on a stable surface. No problems for me here.Essentially, the monitor does what I wanted to do, and very gracefully. Very happy with my purchase and unbeatable value for the price. I’m looking forward to using this during travel.

Review: I had previously used an OLED screen by another brand and it was actually purchased to be used primarly as Nintendo Switch portable display and it was for someone else, so it gave me the opportunity to test it out with my laptop which is an OLED 16:10 screen and while I did really like the OLED portable, I was worried about screen burn in as there was no software to built in to mitagate that; unlike my laptop. It also bugged me that my screen ratio was 16:10 and the OLED was 16:9.So when I began searching for a screen for myself I had a few requirements: a 16:10 screen profile, 2K resolution, matte screen (OLED glossy was just too much glare even in low light), and USB-C connectivity, standard size HDMI (not micro).Pretty easy requirements these days. And this screen easily met those requirements. Out-of-the-box it was a little dark, but the menu screen is very easy to use. There are 2 USB-C ports and standard size HDMI port on one side and the controls are on the other, I wish there was a USB-C port on both sides to be able to get the screen closer to the side the of my laptop. My laptop thunderbolt port and Hdmi port are both on the left side, and the portable screen are on the right, so the cables are in the way and as such must sit a few inches further back from the laptop. I also wish the included folio stand did not require the flap in the front, but that is just a prefence.Keeping with the design, if you need more height/angle of adjustment, the folio magnets are quite strong and it is possible to slide the back of the folio further down the screen to push the screen forward more…if it is needed. The first slot works for me.I also like that it has two mounting points. I don’t know if they sell a portable stand or not, but if i can find one that has the ability to adjust or allow the screen to sit directly on top of my laptop screen then that would be pretty cool too in spots where width of table is an issue. The speakers of the screen are way better than I expected them to be. They are a little hollow sounding compared to my laptop speakers (defintitely more bass), but for the spoken word they would be just fine. I wouldn’t recommend for music/movie audio.Pictured: I was not currently using my OLED 16:10 laptop as it needed warranty work; the pictured laptop is standard FullHD 16:9 Matte Screen.

Review: The 16:10 monitor is a dying breed, and the few that are on the market suck because the 2560×1600 resolution is being stretched across a 30 inch screen. Smaller = better DPIHowever, mid-2022 is a game changer with the new 16 inch screen that popped up. There is also a 13.3 inch cousin if you want something more tablet-like.I personally got Newsoul’s version, instead of uPerfect’s. Both companies sold the same monitor, but the hardware was a bit different.Pros1) Newsoul used a fullsized HDMI 2.0 port (uPerfect used a mini-HDMI)2) 188 dpi = nice screen3) comes with 75×75 vesa mount holes4) super light (under 2 pounds)Cons1) the speakers suck because the sound comes out from one side only2) lacks displayport3) says it’s a 10-bit color screen, but my PC’s GPU tells me it’s 8-bit. I suspect the monitor uses FRC, but I’m not sure how you can check for that feature4) doesn’t come with vesa screws. It says they use m4 x 4mm screws, but those don’t exist, so I contacted Newsoul about it, and they said use 6mm length screws.5) the lightweight screen makes it impossible to use with gas-spring monitor armsOverall, the screen is nice, and I have two for a dual-monitor setup (still working on that), and I plan to get a third for a laptop-like PC I’m planning to build next.

Review: Having bought a handful of portable monitors from Amazon, this definitely seems to be the best bang for buck, and one of the very few that have a 16:10 aspect ratio, which is very helpful and ideal as a secondary work monitor. The extra height compared to a 16:9, although minimal, does make it that much better.Picture quality: 5/5Overall picture quality is very good. Given the screen size of 16″, 2560×1600 makes content look really sharp and text appears clear and legible. Overall color accuracy is pretty good as well, although I would not be using this for any type of professional media editing. There’s also basic picture adjustments available, such as brightness, contrast, backlight, etc, but I left them all at default. As far as brightness goes, this monitor can get fairly bright. In normal ambient room light, I keep the backlight turned to 10 (out of 50), and it is plenty bright already. In an office setting, I usually turn up backlight to around 30 or 40.And even though this is marketed as having HDR, this monitor does not get bright enough to take advantage of HDR. SDR is more than good enough with this monitor.Build quality: 4.5/5The monitor itself is very light and thus makes it very portable. The folder/portfolio case that it comes with is handy as well. I would hesitate carrying this around by itself, as it doesn’t look like it withstand much stress. If pair with a laptop to provide it more rigidity in bag, it should be fine. The VESA mount option is also very useful.Note: my first unit that I received was defective, as it kept flickering upon turning on. However, customer support was very helpful and exchanged a new unit for me within a few days. The new monitor is working perfectly.Price: 5/5This monitor hits the sweet spot at ~$150, and between the 4 portable monitors I purchased on Amazon, it is probably the best quality monitor for the price. While there are slightly cheaper options, they’re mostly lower resolution or smaller in size. And for the ones with similar specs, they’re almost a full 50% more expensive for not much more features other than maybe higher frame rates. A lot of them are also not 16:10.Overall, I think this is a great monitor. Although I use it primarily for work, I would not hesitate to use it occasionally as a portable screen to watch some movies or play some games. I would highly recommend, and the customer support is great is well.

Review: TLDR: This screen size and resolution is uncommon but is fantastic for a portable monitor. Monitor build quality leaves a bit to be desired, but that seems fair given the uniqueness of the 2k 16:10 display. Competing monitors are easily 2x the price.I did quite a lot of comparison shopping when buying a portable monitor and after buying 3 decided this was the one to keep. Like many lightweight/portable items, purchasing a portable monitor involves a lot of tradeoffs. When going up in size, brightness, and resolution (2k, 4k), eventually a portable monitor reaches a point where it can’t be powered off of a single USB-C cable. Fortunately, this monitor seems to strike the right balance (large enough, bright enough, great resolution) while still being able to be powered from a single USB-C cable plugged into my laptop.Display Quality:I compared this monitor with a more expensive 15.6″ OLED display that was 1080p. While the OLED display popped more and would likely be better for watching movies, I found this monitor to be superior for editing documents and coding. In addition to the text being easier to read due to the higher resolution, the 16:10 display worked better functionally for me both vertically and horizontally. I really like the 2k resolution and find the brightness of this display totally adequate. Note that if you do turn up the brightness all the way, the blacks do get a bit washed out. I have the brightness set at 70%.Build Quality:The build quality of this monitor leaves a bit to be desired. It’s made of plastic. So far, I haven’t had any issues, but I suspect it’s less rugged when thrown in a backpack than other displays made out of metal might be.Features:It’s great that this has both a full-size HDMI and VESA mounts on the back.In summary, I think for most kinds of office/productivity work, you would be hard-pressed to find a better portable monitor in this price range. The 2k (16:10) display is a fantastic form-factor. To get a higher quality display with this form factor, you’re looking at something like the LG gram, which is over 2x the price and has no HDMI or VESA holes.
