Neiko’s 3-in-1 automatic wire stripper is a multi-use electrical wiring tool designed for both professional and home use.
Most wire strippers require two hands and some guesswork. Neiko’s 3-In-1 Automatic Wire Stripper changes this by doing the stripping for you, with only one hand. To use, simply place your wire between the two machined jaws at the tool’s head, select the desired exposed wire length (1/4-inch to 3/4-inch) using the flip-up red gauge stopper, and squeeze. The two jaws clamp down, automatically selecting the right tension to hold the wire without damaging it, and pull insulation away. The result is a perfectly stripped wire. The tool is compatible with 10-24 gauge wires, and includes a micro-adjustment thumb wheel for setting tension and clearance for smaller gauge wires beyond 20 AWG.

Review: Don’t know how I managed for so long without these. They are extremely efficient and save huge amounts of time on wiring jobs. They even strip the outer sleeving off flex or power cable while leaving the wire underneath completely unharmed. Time taken to strip a flex and the insulation on the conductors is about 10 seconds if you are not in a hurry

Review: Outstanding strippers. I was skeptical at first, but now have used for 2 months and without adjusting the tension screw at all I’ve stripped dozens of 12-14 gauge romex wires, and many dozens of solid/stranded 28 ga up to 18 ga. I’ve found you can stick 2 wires (18 ga and smaller that is) in at once and strip both at same time. Cutter works good, and have used the crimper a couple of times and it makes a proper crimp that curls both side of the metal sleeve inwards properly instead of just crushing it flat like standard cheap strippers. Soft “rubber” on handles is nice and “grippy”, and long handles give a good leverage. The only problem I have had is one type of romex (10 ga) that had an additional clear, hard, slippery outer coating over the insulation. I had to adjust the tension tighter to get the cutter to bite through this tough outer coating, but normal romex was fine.
