Title: Impressive product, changes the feel of the room
Review: The Nanoleaf 4D is a very cool product, and most certainly for its value for money compared to its competitors. Stunning colours and features, gives the room a different feeling altogether. I love that the lights are customisable. No issues with performance so far. Sleek packaging. I already want to try out other products.Tip for anyone who buys the product – as someone who is new ish to the gadgets world, I would suggest using the YouTube video to help set up, online resources are really good.

Title: Too much effort required
Review: Yet another piece of Chinese junk that requires far too much effort to set up. I’ve set it up several times only for it to become unreachable and thus unusable. The transitions are too fast and instead of being immersive are simply distracting and annoying. Admittedly, this is probably something that could be sorted if I could get the damn thing to stay connected to the rubbish app long enough to adjust settings. At this price point the thing should just be plug and play and 5ghz compatible, or at least have bluetooth for setup ease like other products. Would not recommend based on my experience so far.Edit: I’ve had it and tinkered with it for a few days now and still think its overrated. There are options to set the extent to which the LEDs copy the colours on the screen:The 4D option, which allegedly copies the screen colours exactly, simply doesnt really do what it says. For me the setting is too distracting.The 3D option which allegedly approximates the colours on the screen tries hard but again fails to match the colours properly. However its less distracting.2D mode is meant to simply project the dominant screen colour, but again, it doesnt really do this very well.1D mode simply shines white. This is the only mode that is accurate.There are vibrancy settings in the app which allow you to switch between Cinematic, Vivid and Custom. Cinematic and Vivid seem nearly identical to my eye and changing settings in the Custom menu just turns everything either blue or green or completely washed out.

Title: Great lights, bright and accurate
Review: Really nice set of lights, camera works surprisingly well once setup.Although I did have a hiccup where it lost connection during the setup, and I think that resulted in me missing a calibration step which became important later and was difficult to figure out, as it meant I had to commit to cutting the strip without knowing if that would fix it. Luckily it did, it caused it to tell me to recalibrate the corners.Sadly the corner pieces are useless and just fall off because they provide no adhesives for attaching the to the TV, good idea, poor execution on those.

Title: great if you already have Nanoleaf lights.
Review: worked remarkably well and is extremely responsive. I have a Philips LED Tv with the Ambilight built in on a different tv and there appears to be little to no difference in the response and function of these lights when used in 4D function.I didn’t want to use the bracket above the tv so my camera for this is set below the TV. it did take a few times to set up to work as I wanted to but the help videos provided in the App are informative and helpful to get this to the best set up.as an added bonus, I also have other Nanoleaf Shapes above and around my tv and this now opens up these to sync and work just as well with the 4D lights as a fully immersive system.

Review: Initial review: I’ve read reviews of the product on TechRadar and decided to try. Now I wonder if the jorno got paid for promotion because This thing is painful ….Painful to set up the controller. Painful to attach the strip that doesn’t want to stay attached. And now, 5 hrs after installation the strip no longer works … now thinking not to bother with Cust Service and just give it backUpdate: spent some time with cust service via chat. Advised to return the unit and get a new one. So i did. Much better experience with the new one. Also learned the lesson and used additional adhesive tapes underneath.So changing the rating from 1 to 3 for the initial pain caused
