External skin disruptors, such as UV light or injuries (like acne), cause the keratinocytes in our skin to produce plasminogen, that further start several processes like inflammation, increased tyrosinase activity, melanocyte differentiation, and transfer of melanosomes to upper skin layers. Tranexamic acid decelerates these processes by interfering with plasmin activity, and hence in turn, indirectly inhibiting melanogenesis. Studies have shown that Tranexamic acid, when applied topically, shows results similar to Hydroquinone in reduction of hyperpigmentation. HPA reduces melanogenesis by up to 86% and shows a greater depigmenting effect than ascorbyl glucoside, kojic acid and arbutin, and equivalent efficacy to hydroquinone without cytotoxicity. The formula also contains exfoliating acids like Mandelic Acid (3%) and Salicylic Acid (0.3%) which gently remove the dead cells from the top of the skin, boosting the performance of Tranexamic Acid and Hydroxyphenoxy Propionic Acid, hence accelerating the reduction of hyperpigmentation and melasma.

Title: Effective although leaves the skin tacky.
Review: This stuff is really effective, it has reduced the appearance of some blemishes by 60% after about 1 month. It does leave a residue that is a bit tacky so that takes some getting used to but that goes away after a few hours. It has a slight smell but it’s not unpleasant.The bottle goes a long way and you only need to use a drop at a time when applying.I’ve tried a lot of different blemish reduction remedies like this but this Minimalist product is the best I’ve found so far it really works.Like all similar products you have to have patience they won’t work miracles overnight, it made a difference to me in about 2 weeks and is just getting better.The blemishes I have are fading and I have no irritation or discolouration.Definitely buying some more – I think I’ve found the one!

Review: This serum is brilliant. I only started using it on my oily/sensitive skin and already I see a difference. My skin is smoother, my skin tone is more even, and pigmentation is vanishing. Review: This is my second bottle. At first takes a little time for skin to get used to it. As my first concern were dark spots, I use it as soon as my skin is pat dry after using a Cleanser thoroughly for a minute. Took time with my 1st bottle to show results. But they did eventually. With my second bottle, I also bought Foxtale vit c serum targeting dark spots. Vit c + tranexamic =✨✨✨. I MEAN IT! I have seen. I am seeing results. Now, my fresh spots disappear in 3 /4days with this routine (day+night). I read somewhere that tranexamic is actually derived from plant based amino acids. So may be, no possible side effects (am guessing) anddd leaves a healthy glow. Not shiny reflecting glow but healthy skin subtle glow. Follow it with sunscreen in day time. Give it few seconds to dry into ur skin once applied. Then follow up with ur rest of products. Take few drops into palms. And dab it on spots with fingers. Don’t rub. That way, it works effectively. Go for it. Stubborn marks takes time but surely works over time if used consistently.
