Customers say
Customers like the value, ease of use, and bracket of the sander. For example, they mention it’s great value for money, easy to set up and use, comes with a tripod adaptor, and does the job well. That said, some are happy with the quality. Opinions are mixed on the weight.

Title: Excellent
Review: This thing is a beast. It’s a heavy sander but it eats through wood. Ideal for prolonged use. No overheating issues. Typical Makita quality. The included brackets are deadhandy if you need to use this as a table sander. No complaints, highly recommended.

Title: Hubby is really pleased with this!
Review: Hubby has been making planters as gifts. He used a neighbour’s sander and it was so loud.Another neighbour wasn’t happy with the noise. Neither was I.This sander is so quiet, yes there’s noise but it’s not deafening with a high pitched whine.Hubby is so impressed its not heavy, was easy to set up and works so well. He loves the size and weight. He planed rough roof timbers into great looking planks. You get what you pay for and this has turned out to be an excellent anniversary gift that’s going to last.Makita is a brand my hubby highly rates.Happy hubby lovely jubbly!

Title: Knocked a star off for the Euro plug
Review: Solid, weighty, does the job well. But it came with a euro plug, grrr. I needed to use it straight away so that’s an extra fiver I had to spend on a converter. Grrr.

Title: Really impressive sander
Review: I bought some second-hand bedside drawers that needed a lot of work due to being sealed with an orange oil that had degraded and turned sticky. They are solid oak and even with a random orbital sander on low grit with high-quality sandpaper – we were struggling to remove enough material to remove the oil’s stain. This sander is strong. 80 grit takes the surface off like butter which has saved me days. I was initially worried about the size of it – It’s huge and wide for a belt sander, much bigger and stronger than the bosch my dad leant me, however, I’ve found this has been great for keeping the surface even and flat. Changing the belt is simple. very happy with my purchase.

Title: 6.5kg is really heavy for sanding the side of a cabin.
Review: Sanding the side of a cabin. Too hard on the wrists and arms. Bought by name Makita. Found out it was made in China. Can’t use it for what I intended. Suppose it is my fault for buying it in the first place.

Title: This is the big boy of belt sanders. Used …
Review: This is the big boy of belt sanders. Used 60 grit belts removing old varnish of a pine floor which it did very well. The machine generates alot of heat on its sole plate so be wary of over heating. Not sure if Makita put a thermal cut out switch on it to prevent heat damaging the motor and the machine. I never found out just used the sander for awhile and switched it of once it got to hot. Never gave me any problems and well worth the money.

Title: Fantastic sander
Review: I’ve owned anything that removes material at the rate this thing does feels very solid even when used upside down feels rock solid my only grip was having to go out and buy a plug converter as it came with a euro plug and looking at the comments this is a hit or miss if your in the UK. Just be careful when first starting it keep it off the work piece as it will fly off and take you with it lol.

Comunque grazie all ottimo servizio Amazon, mi è stata sostituita in un giorno esatto, davvero eccellente.
