Review: Our stove came with a cast aluminum griddle and the finish started chipping off in a year. We got this cast iron one to replace it. So far it’s been great. The handles don’t get too hot and make for easy movement. The finish has been non stick out of the box. We use it for eggs and pancakes and grill cheese. Seems really durable.

Review: I love this grill/griddle combo! I purchased it so that I could grill indoors for Valentine’s Day. After using just once, I bought many more Lodge pieces!The benefits of cast iron have always been known. I was always too intimidated by the upkeep to take the plunge, though. I’m so glad I did, because the heat was perfectly distributed and fit on the two burners with ease. There’s also room on the grill side for several steaks/chops — a major bonus since it meant I could cook everything at once!The cleanup is very easy — the only problem I had was getting between the grill grooves to remove all of the residue. I can’t wait to continue using this piece for both breakfasts on the griddle and grilling indoors without any smoke!
