Review: For me these really didn’t do it, especially at £16.99.I will say that the opening mechanism at the top is really nice and solid, being hinged at its centre-point so that it opens rather like an old-fashioned doctor’s bag, and meaning that the basket stays firmly open in use. They do hold a lot, since the opening at the top defines the space inside. The stitching is also regular and neat, although the stitches are on the long side, and no loose threads to cut off. It’s just the material of the bag itself that feels very cheap.They’re really more like stiff, crinkly plastic covered with a paper-thin layer of lightweight fabric. They neither look nor feel like the more usual heavy cotton-canvas style of laundry bag. The photos have either had a huge amount of photoshopping, or those two bags have never been folded down for mailing or – more likely – both. Mine came completely covered in creasing in every possible direction, and because they’re this sort of semi-rigid plastic inside, you can’t iron them flat and they sure as heck don’t seem to be smoothing out on their own.The handles are also a bit flimsy, made of the same lightweight polyester that the plastic body of the bag is covered in, but without the plastic. They are folded over on themselves and sewn though, so although they don’t feel particularly nice, they’re probably reasonably strong.I guess I can’t quite understand why my £3.50 ‘canvas/hessian’ supermarket shopping bag looks and feels by far better quality than one of these. They’ll get relegated to the garage to be used as handy store-alls for cushions and the like, so they’re not without a use, but for myself, I wouldn’t want them in my home.

Review: I’m really pleased with this set of two upright laundry baskets. The description and the film explain very well how these are made and fabricated, so they are just as I expected.I’ve been looking for some tall, rather than wide, boxy storage for packing winter blankets and clothing away. I needed something that would firmly stay upright and not lose its shape so they can be lifted on and off a high shelf in a deep cupboard, and these large, solidly made laundry bins fit the bill just perfectly; they’re light but hold a lot at 80L each, and are so easy to manoeuvre as they don’t collapse back on me when lifting above head height.On opening the baskets feel stiff and are quite creased, as the photos show, but I’ve packed one with 11 blankets ( thinner, winter layering ones), and overnight the creasing of the basket has shown signs of smoothing out, but I really don’t worry about a few creases that will eventually drop out as I’m pleased with how functional and easy to pack these are.The fabrication is excellent, the outer textile is bonded with a substantial inner layer of a waterproof coating which not only works excellently for damp/newly washed clothing but also creates the stiffness which, with the wired framing, holds the baskets erect and keeps them in shape, while giving them a lightness which means there’s no unnecessary weight to a large capacity basket.The handles are well sewn with reinforced stitching to allow carrying a large load.Functionality wins over style, perhaps, with these laundry baskets (and I’d rather call them ‘bins’, as they’re more that shape), but that’s what I wanted, and these work so well for my purpose.These are definitely something I would have bought both my kids when they went to uni; they’re not only a great sized pair of lightweight laundry baskets, but are a great size for throwing everything into for packing neatly upright in the car for end of term trips home.I’m very happy with how functional these laundry bins/baskets are; the fact they keep their shape so well makes them a really efficient and neat large capacity vertical storage option. I will happily buy more of these.At the time of order the price is £18.99 for the set of two 80L bins; so for approx £9.50 each I think the price is fair for something that feels sturdy and as if it will last a good while. 5*

Review: They are a bit more firm than those made of cloth material. So I at least know they will hold they form. I bought two of the double sets. One for sons room, bathroom, my bedroom and guest room. They match the color design we are doing while we are remodeling so it’s perfect.Of course when you take them put there will be wrinkles. Have a strong feeling they will work themselves out after several rounds of use. They feel like they are made of nice quality material.
