Title: Works with Smart Life app
Review: Whilst it’s advertised as an older product (newer one available) it offers variable whiteness as well as brightness and colours (newer one says just soft white and colours). Other reviews say the colours aren’t very bight themselves and I confirm this feels the same, but as I wasn’t expecting really bright colours and it’s used in a 8’x10′ room it’s perfect. The white colour is really bright so perfectly suitable. Setup was easy using the recommended app or Smart Life (the recommended app is just a ‘white label’ version of Smart Life anyway). And if you’re security paranoid you can connect this to your 2.4 guest wifi network so keeping it separate from your home wifi, and it will still be remote controlled by the app or alexa etc. Overall a great bulb for me so far, no issues and way cheaper than brand names.

Title: Great with Alexa. Useless without Wi=Fi.
Review: This is a great, handy build. Nice to be able to swap colours, depending on your mood. Also good to be able to turn light on or off, or change the colour simply by talking to Alexa. However, you do need to use a hub. But you can do this through the Alexa App on your phone. So if Alexa is playing up, you can use the independent light bulb app to turn the light on or off, or change the colours or brightness. However, be aware, this is one hell of a nightmare to set up and is not very intuitive or easily explained. Also, all of these features are useless if the Wi-Fi goes off. The bulb will only work (all the features) if it is constantly connected to the Wi-Fi. Without Wi-Fi, it becomes like a normal bulb.

Title: Good bulb, easy install, like the App, Alexa Fix
Review: So this is a nice bulb, app is user friendly and was easy to install, however could not sync with Alexa so to fix this Register online with Tuya Smart, then in the Alexa app go to Skills and Games and search “Tuya Smart” and “enable to use”, it will request you to log in with your registered details then you can select Lepro LampUX and it will sync.

Title: Good item. easier to set up than I expected.
Review: I was not looking forward to setting this up after reading the reviews, but I was relieved that it wasn’t as hard as people make out. No doubt it depends on your experience with setting up gadgets to wifi, but it really wasn’t so bad. I didn’t use the app mentioned in the instructions. I already use Smart Life, so I decided to try and set it up on there. It was pretty straight forward.. just click to add a new device and search for device. Mine found the bulb without issue, but if you have a problem, just enter the device manually and choose ‘lighting’ .Don’t be put off by the struggles people have reported, this is a nice bulb, works well and so far all is good.Update (17/03/19): Since messing with the controls in more depth, I’ve noticed that once you start to adjust the colour on the colour wheel, some of the colours are not very accurate. You can get the colour you want, but it’s a little off the actual colour on the colour wheel. For example, if I tell Alexa I want yellow, it looks more green, so I open the app and the adjuster is on yellow. If I slide the slider just past the yellow, it changes to yellow. Slide just past orange to get orange & so on.I hope I made that clear. If you want further explanation, please feel free to ask in comments.

Title: Wish it was still on sale
Review: After many colours, many shades, many schedules… I looked up to my light and thought “When did I buy this bulb and how is it still going?”April 2020, over 4 years ago! Through lockdown it was on for the best part of 15 hours… and yet not a flicker is in sight.This bulb is currently unavailable so I cry for the day I need a new.If it ever does come back and is the same make and quality of 2020, pleasebuy itThank you for the quality product 💕

Title: Goes offline randomly and Alexa control hit and miss
Review: The lightbulb itself has great potential- Colour gradients, dimming, schedule options. But…Set up with Alexa is a faff . I’d read the other comments here about the setup so checked my phone was on the 2.4hz channel and the light was too . I downloaded the app before trying to connect the light. This all worked pretty well. Getting it to then connect to Alexa was a bit more of a challenge but eventually got it via skills and renamed it.But i find the ability to control the colour and dimmer by voice with Alexa a lot cruder than the lightbulb itself/native app allows. Eg asking alexa to change the colour to turquoise was met with alexa doesn’t understand- so we can do voice control only for fairly standard colour names. Same with brightness its not as easy to get variation by voice as using the app.Also, the bulb frequently goes offline and we cant work out why. So neither voice nor app work to turn it off/on or change anything until it comes back online.I think this has great potential but is a bit temperamental which is frustrating and not very ‘smart’
