Title: Easy to setup and reliable
Review: I like the ease of wiring this socket and the build quality. It is quite robust and it seems well insulated against water ingress. The setup procedure for connection to an app is easy, I used the Smart Life app which I already have for other devices and it worked first time with no problems. This also links to my SmartThings hub to interact with other devices and also Alexa. The timer settings I have set up work reliably and it has never failed yet. Time will tell for longevity but if it lasts 5 years or more I will consider it a great purchase.

Review: It took me ten minutes to get this fitted and set up. Nice and easy. Have to download their app but can enable the Alexa skill for it and then use that. So far has worked flawlessly.

Review: Easy to fit, and quick to set up with Smart Life app.Needs to be on a flat surface as any slight twist in the backbox and the front won’t fit properly.Be careful as one of the faceplate screws sheared as I was fitting it, but I was able to find a replacement.

Review: Bought this item to power electric gates and driveway lighting separately. Crucially, both sockets can be independently controlled either on the socket, or via the app! Although the socket has its own app, it is in fact a reskinned version of the TUYA app, so if you have that app already controlling other items in your home, you can easily add the smart socket to your TUYA devices and have the convenience of one app.You can also set schedules for on and off for both sockets independently. In addition, its Google and Alexa compatable!

Title: Product failure – Common issue
Review: I have read other reviews which state exactly the same issue. I professional installed this unit and it functioned fine during the summer period. Product was not used over winter and came the following summer the unit would not work at all. Tried to reconnect the unit to WiFi but the unit would not work. Couldn’t even get into pairing mode and just made a funny noise when pressing the button to set into pairing mode. Installation was performed professionally with ample sealant being used to comply fully with instructions. Have since purchased an alternative manufacturer unit which has just worked and carries on working. If I’d looked for reviews before purchasing I would not have brought this unit at all.

Title: Fiddly to install
Review: I replaced an existing “non smart” outdoor plug with this. It comes with no cable or plug. There are no easy mounting brackets like my previous sockets had. I ended up having to butcher the existing socket, which now means I can’t use that one without difficulty.The pairing uses the SmartKnight app which is basic, but functional. It seems to use Tuya, but these devices do not show in the Tuya integration in HomeAssistant. Beware that this does not work with HA, but works fine with Google Assistant and Alexa.
