Title: Miracle in a jar
Review: I have been on the curly girl method for over a year now, trying to figure out my thick, wavy, frizzy hair. Normally any curly product I’ve tried makes my hair heavy, crunchy and my waves are sad and puffy. I know this product has been in the market for a long time but somehow I thought it was only good for really tight coiled curls. Well. I now have big bouncy, shiny, frizz free, very defined curls and I’m never going back to anything else. I apply this after showering when my hair is really wet. It does feel crunchy and looks wet at first, but after gently diffusing, I crunch the crunch with a little oil and the crunchy and wet feeling go away.If you have hair similar to mine and you live in a humid place, then the one thing I learned is that you must avoid glycerin in all your products- read your labels!

Review: In the past i was using some heavy duty products (with silicone, alcohol etc) which made my curly hair a mess. My hair took some time to get used to this product. I didn’t like it at first but after 2-3 weeks, gradually, my hair returned to the lovely curls i had some years ago. This product really reveals your natural curl pattern. I noticed also that you can get better results if you use it along with the knot today leave in conditioner. (gives better body and the definition last longer) Its a bit tricky to use the right amount of this product though. If you use too much you can end up with a wet look and no volume. Blow drying your hair (with head upside down) after applying the product will eliminate this problem and provide a great volume and body.I removed a star due to the high price tag of this product.

Review: I’m on my own journey of figuring out what type of curl my hair is and what products work. This is my holy grail gel, smells amazing, you don’t need a massive amount of product so it lasts so long. It crunches out easily, doesn’t weigh hair down and helps really maintain the curl pattern

Title: Finally found a technique to make kinky curly curling custard to work on type 2 hair
Review: Very quick delivery by supplier . Love the smell of this product have used only 3 times but I’m finding flax seed gel works better . Maybe I need to use this with the knot today conditioner to get better results . But bit wary about ordering because it’s so expensive. Going to try again but at the minute I’ve gone back to my homemade flaxseed gel will update if I get better results with different products.Review update I’ve found a way to make the custard work and if anyone else is not getting results with it try it it’s called smashers technique. It really works as long as you only use about 2 pea size amounts. Achieved perfect spirals on type 2 hair that’s last for 4 days. Look up the technique I promise you this is the best way to use kinky curly curling custard

Title: Not worth the money 💷
Review: I used this today, after it arrived yesterday. I shampoo my hair etc and used it on wet hair. It did curl, but it was sticky on the wet hair and my hands. About half an hour later I shampoo it out of my hair.It did curl, only a little, but it’s a lot of effort for precious little result. Won’t be buying it again and definitely don’t recommend it. It’s not for me and the result is poor. Also I did try combing through my hair slightly after using it, and it combed out the curls.So I had dripping wet, very little curls in my hair and sticky hair and hands. I didn’t take pics because it looked so awful in my hair. I may try the remaining contents of the jar on a dummy head just to see if there’s anything I could have/should have done differently. But in no hurry to try it on my own hair again.

Review: I think this is more suitable for tight corkscrew curls. My curls are big and loose so it didn’t really suit my hair. Smells a bit unusual but could of gotten used to that. The smell is quite sweet. I wasn’t particularly fond of the smell but people did compliment me about the smell though so some people might like it. Might be a good thing it didn’t suit my hair since I don’t think I’d be able to afford it. It has a really watery consistency compared to other gels I’ve used. As I said before, I think this is more suitable for small tight curls around a 4A, 4B, 4C curls. Mine are around a 2C/3A curl. I like the way it has loads of natural products though.

Review: This is a great product for defining fine, wavy hair. Great, simple ingredients list full of natural film forming humectants with a nice, soft vanilla scent. I just dip two fingers into the tub and whatever coats my fingers is enough for my whole bob. I think this tub will last me years.

Review: For my c3 curly hair that is relatively thin, this custard is heavenly. I scrunch it upside down into my dripping wet hair in the shower, towel it up for a while and let it air dry. Holds and enhances my curls for days until the new wash. You can wet your hair a bit every morning and the custard reactivates. Perfect!
