Title: Installation can be less obvious than many dashcams but intended for LHD vehicles.
Review: This is the third KAWA dashcam that I have used (D6x2 and this D5). We all know about the need for a some evidence to help in bumps and scrapes, having a permanent dashcam that can be installed in a much less obtrusive point on the dash is desired. It can also be removed from its mount. This cam is wrong handed for the UK, when fitted in the shaded area of the screen behind the mirror, to hide the mount and part of the camera body, it must “see” out of the LHS side. Ideally, a RHS mounting camera would be better, but this will still work as the wide angle view is not so effected by being mounted 30cm to the left. Sticking the camera to the screen is very easy, provided some care is taken to site it in the path of the wiper blades. Best to site it whilst the cam is live and by watching the live feed on your phone. There’s an important aspect of dash cam operation that is worth considering. The video is encoded and compressed in real time, the compression will take longer if the scene is changing significantly compared to when driving down a nice straight road. This causes delays in encoding/recording frames and is seen in playback as jerky movement. This effect is more when higher resolutions are required and when low quality/low speed SD cards are used. For this reason, I chose the 1080P resolution as a good starting point, but if you are aware of the effect/cause, you can tune it to your taste. This cam is one of the least affected by this problem that I have tried. The wire installation is always the thing that is a pain. It’s not for everyone, I wire mine to the mirror/light pod, but not all cars have the right power supply there. In operation it is fine. I found the voice control a bit of a joke. I can say “take a photo” and it will oblige, but I can’t get it recognise any other voice command, the most useful being “start emergency recording” or variations (many) of that phrase. Interestingly, there is no mention of voice control that I could find in the supplied manual, so am clueless to what it should respond to. I thought of sending it back, but I didn’t want to talk to it anyway. If I need to lock a recording (so it is not overwritten), I can just tap the camera, the shock will set it off in the same way that a collision/bump/pothole will (if enabled). Overall, it provides a good quality video onto an SD card, once set up there is no need to use your phone again. The card can be removed and the contents viewed/deleted on a PC. If voice control is important, maybe the next model up will be better for you. For dashcams in particular, a good quality high speed SD card is necessary. Buy a high spec, major manufacturer’s card from a trusted source.

Review: This front dash cam has great video and night vision and besides all these it has also voice control which is a significant update and comparison to the previous dashcam that I had.I have noticed that the night vision feature is quite impressive and it provides crisp footage even when I drive on very dark roads and this adds a layer of safety when I drive.It what’s easy to install this dashcam even though I would probably like for the head of it to move 360 degrees because it took quite a long time to find the right position for it.What I also appreciate is the voice command because it allows me to control the camera hands free I like this I can focus better on the road.It offers really good video quality especially daytime and so far it has prove to be available dashcam which has a wide angle coverage and this allows me to see properly the whole road.

Review: Great little dashcam without screen but connects wirelessly to phone through the Kawa Auto app. Can be stuck to windscreen with adhesive pad or with vac suction. I used the adhesive pad and it has a good hold. Talks to you to tell you that it is operating. I also like the knock detection which switches on the camera to record when someone gets in the car or it feels a jolt. Well pleased with this camera. Just fit it and forget until you need it.

Review: Worth every penny for peace of mind. Ive yet to ever have a collision with another motorist but having this protects me and my wife when driving around town… you never know when someone might try a pull a fast one and blame you!The camera is lovely a simple, light and takes up very little room on the windscreen. Set up is pretty simple using your phone to see what it sees. It does require a Micro memory card which must be purchased separately but thats the norm with any camera like this.Having no screen on the device is one of its positives and one of its negatives… With a screen, with a glance you know it recording and can see exactly what its viewing. Having to whip out your phone is an extra step to the usual built in screen camera but it also means its a lot lighter (should mean it doesn’t fall down in a hot car) and takes up less windscreen space. I also sometimes worry its not recording.The cable included is of excellent length and allowed me to tuck it away neatly around the window and under the passenger seat. I do wish I could utilise the USB port I have on my car instead of its cigarette lighter but thats only a small gripe.Sticky pad that goes on first seems strong and then the camera go onto that… avoiding super sticky directly onto the window… only time will tell just how sticky this is! Lets hope it doesn’t keep falling down like my old one did.Great capture quality… more than enough for its purpose and low light is impressive too!Overall its a great camera to have to protect yourself. Easy to setup and looks great. Brilliant!

Review: Kawa D5 2KEstamos ante una cámara económica (en torno a 30e) con grabación 2K*, una fácil instalación y simple.Nota: Iba a subir vÃdeo y fotos, pero Amzon las censura por temas de privacidad✅Cosas que me han gustado: – No lleva baterÃa. En su lugar lleva un supercondensador que sirve para guardar el archivo antes de apagarse. Esto es un PRO total sabiendo que en muchos lugares de España, la temperatura interior del coche en dÃas calurosos puede superar los 60-65ºC. Una baterÃa puede explotar “fácilmente†y más aún si no es de buena calidad. Con el condensador te evitas este problema. – Se puede quitar del soporte para guardarla/quitarla rápidamente. – App. Aunque es bastante simple, funciona correctamente y tiene buen aspecto. – Traducción. En cámaras económicas suelen fallar aquÃ. Sin embargo, Kawa ha hecho un buen trabajo y tanto la App está bien traducido como la propia cámara, que te habla en español (entre otros idiomas).🧑â€ðŸ”§ Entrando en el apartado “técnico”: Es una cámara 2K (1296p, no es un 2K “real” de 1440p). Graba a 30fps según los metadatos pero me da la sensación que son interpolados o bien la resolución está interpolada. A veces no se ve lo nÃtido que debiera, como si el vÃdeo fuera dando pequeños saltos. Siendo 2K, tampoco tiene una calidad excelente. Tengo otra cámara 2K que me costó el doble de lo que cuesta esta y obviamente graba bastante mejor la cara. En las grabaciones de emergencia (tiene 3 niveles de sensibilidad), la cámara te avisa por voz de que “Foto realizada” y luego te dice “Grabando vÃdeo”, cuando considera que el peligro ha acabado te vuelve a avisar de “VÃdeo grabado”, estos mensaje te los dice por voz, por lo que es muy cómodo e intuitivo.Durante el dÃa se pueden diferenciar las matrÃculas a corta distancia, pero en cuanto el coche se aleja unos 15-20 metros ya resulta casi imposible descifrar los números. Durante la noche se pueden leer las matrÃculas sólamente si el coche va delante tuya y coincide que tus faros no alumbran la matrÃcula, porque si lo hacen (que es lo más común excepto en cambios de rasante o resaltos) la cámara no tiene suficiente rango dinámico y simplemente se ve en blanco, sin ver los números.He probado en resolución 1296p y en 1080p y prácticamente soy incapaz de encontrar diferencias de calidad. A 720p aún no lo he probado. El bitrate sà que se mantiene constante para ambas resoluciones que he probado, en torno a los 10Mbps.🛠ï¸Instalación: Respecto a la instalación, viene una pegatina electrostática y el cable para la toma de mechero, por lo que simplemente hay que limpiar la luna en la zona donde se va a instalar y pegar la lámina electrostática y luego la cámara encima (o sin la lámina, sólo la cámara directamente en la luna también sirve). La cámara se queda bastante cerca de la luna, por lo que es fácil de disimular. Un punto bueno que le veo es que, a diferencia de otras cámaras económicas, en ésta lo que se pega a la luna es un soporte, por lo que la cámara, presionando un botón, se puede liberar para quitarla fácilmente y guardarla o llevártela a casa. El cable que incorpora es suficientemente largo para enchufarlo a la toma de mechero sin problemas.📱App: La app es simple pero muestra un aspecto cuidado y bien traducido al español. Es fácil de emparejar la cámara y los vÃdeos se descargan con bastante rapidez. Echo en falta poder quitar el saludo de bienvenida (la cámara habla, en español, “Kawa está grabando” cada vez que enciendes el coche). En otras cámaras este “saludo” se puede desactivar desde la app. También echo en falta que no se pueda apagar el LED de estado. La cámara tiene por el lado que da al interior del vehÃculo un LED bastante visible para mi gusto que en estado normal es verde, por lo que hace a la cámara más visible.ðŸ“½ï¸ Grabación: En cuanto a configuración de vÃdeo, se puede elegir entre 1296p/1080p/720p. Las diferencias de calidad a simple vista no se aprecian, por lo que en mi caso lo grabo a 1080p para que ocupe menos espacio y asà la cámara también se calienta menos al tener que procesar menos pÃxeles. Los vÃdeos duran entre 1 y 3 minutos (se puede configurar) y puedes permitir que grabe el micrófono o mantenerlo desactivado. En cuanto a la calidad, como ya he dicho, no es nada excepcional, pero si lo comparamos con otras alternativas del mismo rango de precios, ésta está por encima de la media sin dudarlo.🗒ï¸Resumen: Para los 30e que vale, es una opción muy válida. Es disimulada una vez instalada, tienes la opción de quitarla fácilmente, la microSD es fácil de poner y quitar, el WiFi funciona de maravilla y tiene una calidad de grabación aceptable para este rango de precios.Como puntos flacos, destacarÃa la poca personalización (apagar LED o quitar saludo inicial, sobretodo), NO tiene control por voz (dirÃa que ninguna lo tiene por este precio) y poco más puedo destacar.Espero que te haya resultado útil.

Esta cámara sencilla ha sido una buena opción para este propósito. Os dejo una lista de mis opiniones respecto al producto.¡Lo que más me gustó! 😂ðŸ‘ðŸ¼+ Es barata (30€)+Funciona conectada al coche en el enchufe del cenicero+Graba sobre video, si la tarjeta de memoria ya está llena, simplemente RE graba sobre los videos más antiguos, asà no me preocupo de tener que estar limpiando la tarjeta, simplemente la tengo ahà por si grabo algo interesante.+La instalación es sencilla, es pegarla en la luna y listo 😀+Se puede quitar y poner del soporte! lo cual es una ventaja si tengo que aparcar bajo el sol por muchas horas porque me da miedo que se recalienta, o si la quieres guardar o llevársela a casa Etc.+En su publicidad mencionad que está equipada con un supercondensador y que no tiene baterÃa de iones de litio por lo que es seguro que no explote.+Se puede configurar para que grabe bucles de 1-2 o 3 minutos dependiendo de nuestra necesidad.+Tiene wifi, se conecta al móvil por una app y es fácil de manejar.+Realiza grabaciones de emergencia, y te avisa por voz cuando las hace, asà sabes si determinado momento quedó grabado o fotografiado!Lo que No me gusto 😵â€ðŸ’«-La calidad de la imagen no es igual a la que ofertan, es inferior pero se ve bien (en zonas bien iluminadas) Ahora siempre a distancias cercanas, es decir si vas conduciendo en un dia soleado las matrÃculas de los coches que van delante serán visibles si están a corta distancia, si no la cámara no es capaz de enfocar estos detalles.-No incluye la tarjeta micro SD necesaria para grabar, por ende es una compra adicional aunque también es cierto que la cámara es económica.-En la noche solo se ve nÃtido la matrÃcula de los coches que están delante y cerca a tus luces.-No está demás decirlo, pero no graba nada de atrás… Si te dan por detrás, la cámara no lo graba.Conclusión: Si buscáis una cámara sencilla y económica, esta merece mucho la pena. 👌ðŸ¼ðŸ‘ðŸ¼

Review: Las cámaras frontales para instalar en nuestros coches se han convertido en formas de controlar nuestra seguridad con los incidentes que podemos encontrarnos en la carretera, además de conseguir un registro de video de cualquier accidente que suframos.. La cámara ofrece una instalación rápida y sencilla en cualquier vehÃculo, con una plantilla adhesiva para su colocación y un cableado bastante largo que podremos ocultar por lo pilares de coche con una llave de plástico o similar. Todo para su conexión directa a la alimentación de coche y que permitirá que se active su funcionamiento con solo subirnos y dar al contacto.. En lo relativo a tamaño y diseño, se ha optado por un modelo pequeño y discreto, ideal para que no llame la atención y que permita estar integrada con facilidad. Permitiendo varias el ángulo de grabación de la cámara y que se ajuste a nuestro tipo de coche.. La cámara permite una calidad de imagen MUY BUENA con resolución superior a los 1080p habituales, además de incorporar procesamiento interno de la imagen para la mejora en condiciones de movimiento, baja iluminación o incluso oscuridad total. Una forma de asegurarnos que los videos de esta sean útiles por su resolución y los 30 FPS.. La conexión al coche le suministra alimentación directa, por lo que no incluye ningún tipo de baterÃa adicional. Haciéndola más sencilla y reducir su propensión a problemas y peligros de las baterÃas instaladas en zonas de extremo calor o frio.Por ello solo tendremos grabación cuando el coche esté encendido, aunque el fabricante nos ofrece un cable adicional para su conexión directa a la baterÃa del coche y que podamos controlar con la cámara también en modo aparcamiento. Con detección de impactos y grabación de seguridad.. Todos los registros se guardarán en la tarjeta de memoria microSD que instalemos, siendo recomendables las de mayor velocidad y capacidad. De esta forma no se producirán cuellos de botella en ella y se grabarán los videos de forma fluida.En lo relativo a funcionamiento, los videos se pueden configurar con espacios de 1 a 3 minutos y siempre en bucle total, lo que significa que SIEMPRE está grabado cuando está activa y cuando se quede sin espacio fÃsico de almacenaje, comenzará a borrar los de mayor antigüedad. Por ello tenerlo siempre en cuenta, para no perder videos y realizar volcados periódicos a vuestro ordenador o cambio de tarjeta de memoria.La calidad en movimiento de los videos es EXCELENTE, sin apenas artefactos en ellos y con una nitidez MUY CORRECTA. Review: Hoy en dÃa existen vehÃculos que graban en 360 grados todo lo que sucede alrededor de él incluso cuando están aparcados como es el caso de la famosa marca de coches eléctricos americana.Incluso en algunos paÃses es recomendado tener dispositivos como estos para a la hora de un incidente tener una imagen que diga mucho más que mil palabras.Esta es una cámara que va grabando toda la conducción con audio o sin audio es de tu elección y va segmentando de forma automática ciertos eventos y los coloca en un álbum o en otro de modo que puedas buscar y gestionar tus grabaciones.Viene en una pequeña caja donde trae: – Cámara DVR o DashCam (como quieras llamarle)- Cable para el encendor del coche- Pegatina antiestática en caso de fijar la cámara al parabrisas.- NO TRAE TARJETA SD, SE COMPRA APARTEEn mi caso ya tenia una de la misma marca Kawa pero un modelo superior (Kawa D6) por lo que querÃa una adicional que grabara la parte de atrás del vehÃculo. La instalación fue bastante simple y sencilla ya que mi coche cuenta con un encendedor en la maleta.Lo único que sà no me gustó, es que tuve que bajarme una aplicación distinta llamada Kawa Auto para poder instalar esta cámara y no pude utilizar el mismo software o la misma aplicación para manejar las dos cámaras siendo la misma marca.La configuración es sencilla, ya con la aplicación en el móvil, conectas la cámara en el coche verás o detectaras una red wifi llamada KAWA_D5 a la que deberás conectarte.Ahà podrás configurar el formato de la fecha, el idioma, el tiempo de grabación (por defecto es un minuto) y una recomendación super importante que te doy es cambiarle la contraseña original a la wifi de la cámara. La Wi-Fi que genera la cámara debes mantenerla apagada luego de que configures todo.En resumen, es un buen equipo graba bastante bien es bastante estable y es un registro importante de imágenes en caso de cualquier cosa. Es importante que recuerdes que todo lo que grabes es única y exclusivamente de uso personal y particular no puedes publicar videos donde se muestre caras o matrÃculas.
