Title: Excellent performance!
Review: I live in Kent where we have had a hosepipe ban for over a month now.I was concerned about how effective this would be after reading some of the reviews, because I have a 6m extension hose on my Kaercher K4.I attached the filter end to a brick with cable ties and sunk it to the the bottom of one of our 100l water butts, before attaching the hose to the K4. I sucked the water up and covered the end with my thumb before attaching it to the machine.Within a second or two the machine had come up to pressure and it was ready to use.I washed one car with it and the machine seemed to prefer the water butt to mains pressure. To wash a Ford puma, with two rinses used about 30l. By using rainwater from a water butt, I also got nice, soft water to wash our cars with, which is another advantage.I cannot fault this product and I will never go back to washing our cars with mains water. If you like to have clean cars, this is a must have!

Title: Great product
Review: I purchased a Bosch EasyAquatak 120 power washer but needed to purchase a suction hose separately which I thought was rather stupid , when it should have come as a full kit . The Bosch hose cost £35.87 for a 3 m from Amazon but decided to risk buying the Karcher 5 m for £27.74 which i`m pleased I did , it fit perfectly onto my Bosch .

Title: Good Alternative to hose pipe. But use the correct extension cable.
Review: I bought this item because the water pressure in my street is low. Having a tank of water provides enough water for the Karcher K4 to draw upon. However if, like me, you know nothing about “electricity’ amps, wattage, circuits etc. You might, like I did, use the same old extension cable that is generally used for using the lawnmower etc. But with the Karcher K4 , plugged into the extension, it stops working. Then when plugged into the mains, starts working. There’s quite a bit of information on google about extension cords. From my search,”What is often not considered, though, is that these extension cords need to be of an appropriate size for the power load being placed on them. When you are using an extension cord for devices with motors, or which produce heat of any kind. The electrical load of these items is substantially higher, which means light-weight extension cords using 16-gauge wire should not be used with them. Further complicating the issue is the length of the extension cord. In longer extension cords, the resistance of the electrical current is higher, and the potential for overheating is greater”.In the small print of Karcher K4 instructions. It is recommended that an extension cord of 10-meters length should have a cross-section of 1.5mm. A 30-meter length should have a cross-section of 2.5mm.Apparently it is possible to damage power tools when using incorrect cables. … who knew?.. not me. perhaps karcher should have made more of a point of this fact instead of hiding information away in the small print.

Title: If you are having trouble priming/suction READ THIS to help you out!
Review: 1st off i’ll explain my situation in needing to use this suction hose!.My car is away from my house so i have to use a VERY LONG extension lead to power my Karcher K4 pressure washer and i cant really use a hose connected to my outside tap because of the length!. Hence the reason for buying this suction hose, so i can use a bucket or BIG jerry can bottle(yet to buy!).Anyway after getting this item through the post i have had a absolute nightmare trying to get this hose to work. I have read that just put the filter end in the water and it will suck it up, IT WILL NOT do that!, i have tried!!!!. I then “primed” the hose full of water, but yet again it WILL NOT suck any water through the pipe. Even just letting run for a minute as others have said still does not do anything. In fact earlier on trying to do this my pressure washer got so hot it shut down and wouldn’t start for a good 10 minutes(the machine is water cooled!).This is what i figured out that works 100% every time i do it!. The main reason this WILL NOT prime properly is the filter on the end is restricting the flow of the water!. IMO to start off the machine needs maximum water flow to enter the pump to then build up pressure which in turn starts the “sucking” process!.What i do is………………..1. Take off the filter on the end of the hose(give a small twist and it comes of easy)2. Place all the hose in the water to prime it as normal3. Wait for the hose to fill with water, as seen by the air bubbles escaping(Because the filter is off, the water flow in the hose is A LOT better)4. When done connect to the machine5. Turn on and press the trigger on the gun6. Again because the filter is off you will see the water being sucked into the machine faster and it will build up pressure7. Reattach the filter and you are good to go!I tried this 5 times in a row and EVERY time it worked for me 100%If you plan to use this method in a water butt i would suggest priming the hose in a bucket of clean water first, then after you reattach the filter you can then put it in the water butt. I think once the machine has sucked water and built up pressure you should be able to move the hose into another water source!Anyway there you go. I’ve gone from hating it, to loving it, once i sussed it out lol5 STARSEDIT, 20/01/2019 – Used the suction hose for the 1st time cleaning the car with the aid of a 30L plasterers bucket i got from B&Q and it worked like a charm!. In all i filled up the bucket 3 times(1 for doing the snow foam, 2nd for rinsing the snow foam off, then the 3rd for rinsing the car shampoo off). Just make sure the water doesn’t run out of the hose before re-filling your bucket as you will have to prime it again!

Title: GREAT KARCHER TUBE
Review: Was hesitant in buying this following some reviews but glad I did works really well.My TIP is warm the pipe in hot water for five minutes then attach a hammer using some tie backs to the pipe then soak both ends in water butt then to pressure washer only took a minute or two for Karcher K4 to self prime.didn’t think was going to work got a whole 40 minutes clean out of barrel and no loss of pressure.would recommend this and don’t be put off by negative reviews
