Title: Tiny, but with a capacity of 117 GB
Review: This memory stick is indeed tiny. But it has a handy attachment point for a keyring or lanyard, otherwise the danger to lose it would be very high. It supports USB A and USB C and works well with my phone and our computer and comes very handy to transfer files, even big ones, from one to the other, since it has a capacity of 117 GB.

Title: Review of a 128GB USB stick
Review: Always test flash memory products with software like fakeflashtest, h2testw, checkflash, to verify if they actually have the capacity that they claim to have. Linux users can try f3probe and also can run h2testw through wine. The raw capacity is less than claimed, at 125.8 decimal GB, which formats to 117.2GB actual, using exFAT.The claimed 70MB/s performance implied that this would be a USB 3.0 device, but it definitely is not, so that speed claim is impossible to achieve with USB 2.0, and is therefore false. You can tell physically by looking into the receptacle, this has the standard 4 metal contact strips that USB devices have, but is missing the additional 5 pins that you would see are deeper inside to enable USB 3.0 bandwidth.The USB stick that I received did pass a quick test for size, but was unable to fully write test the whole drive, due to such terrible performance. Write speeds went from 10MB/s down to 6 and 3, at which point I had to abandon writing and try reading back, with which it couldn’t even manage 20MB/s read over the course of the test.While this basically functions as a USB drive, its obsolete USB 2.0 technology makes it poor value when you could purchase a big brand USB 3.0 stick of similar capacity, that would actually perform as fast as this one claims to do.

Title: High quality metal OTG memory stick!
Review: The Joiot 128GB USB flash drive arrived very professionally packed in a professionally printed blister pack.The device is made from metal with a rotating alloy cover which rotates to reveal either the USB A plug or the USB C plug.All parts are high quality without any rough edges or moulding flash and the alloy cover is smooth and well finished.The device has a capacity of 128GB and features OTG capability for use with appropriate mobile telephones.Data transfer was smooth with the device easily managing its full stated capacity, which is always a worry nowadays with so many cheap fake USB drives on the market.A good value purchase for anyone needing to store larger amounts of data.

Title: A not-so flash memory stick
Review: The small padded envelope that this came in was difficult to open without breaking the envelope due to the strong adeshive used. But once I got inside there was a nice silver memory stick 37cm long x 12mm wide x 7mm thick. It weighed just 7g. What with the size and small weight it could be easy to use – so it is recommended to keep it on a key ring or neck tie. The USB C or USB A connection end is reversable by rotating the inside of the memory stick. Fits equally into a laptop USB C socket or USB A socket or into a phone USB C socket. N.B. I have not tried dropping it in a glass of water to see if its water proof, despite the manufacturer saying it is – I didn’t feel like taking the risk.So this looked all fairly promising until I did some tests. I used it on my laptop to copy 1.26GB (25,246 files) onto memory stick. Using the USB-C connector it took 27m 50s or 0.8MBytes per sec writing speed. The USB-A connector was even slower at28m 25s. By contrast a different USB 2.0 memory stick took 17m to write to. Reading from the memory stick was faster at 7m 10s for USB-C and 4m 50s for the USB-A end.In case the vast No. of files were the problem, I tried copying just a few images, totalling 589MB. These took 4m 44s to write the via USB-C end, where as on an ordinary USB 2.0 memory stick it took 1m 46s. The read time was 1m 40s or just 6MB per sec for the 589MB on the JOIOT device.So this reversable USB stick is definitely slow, and I noticed that it would start off fast, then get progressively slower, often getting down to 0 bytes/sec.So according to my calculations, if it takes 4m44s to write just a few images, totalling 589MB it would take about 18h to fill up the entire 128GB drive. The drive is claimed to have 70MB per sec read speed but I found it closer to 6MB per sec.I’m therefore giving it 2 stars as it works, but its incredibly slow and seems to get slower the more data you copy in one go.

Review: The drive is well made and solidly built.Usb c and A adaptors both work well.The drive locks in each position.Checked capacity with a free program called Validrive (good) and it showed that the drive is a genuine 128gb.If you only need a drive for documents and photo storage , then this should be fine.But the transfer speeds you get, are quite slow.So if you are always transferring large files especially video, i would pick a faster drive.If speed is not an issue, then this drive is quite good.

Title: Handy to have both USB types
Review: I needed a USB stick that I was able to use on either my phone and or my laptop and so I went with this one.I got the 128GB model -The build quality is superb with a metal finish so its very strong and sturdy.The swivel mechanism works well too and nicely dampered so its does not just spin on its axis its well put together.My PC reads the full 128GB Well 117GB of usable storage. This stick is also impressively tiny.I’ve not done a full speed test on it but I find it adequate for my needs.At a smidge under £9 for 128GB this is an absolute steal! – Great price

Review: Quando ho notato questa pendrive OTG proposta da JOIOT mi ha incuriosito per le interessanti caratteristiche in descrittiva ed ho deciso di provarla per facilitare la lettura ed il trasferimento di documenti e fotografie presenti su alcuni dispositivi Apple e Windows di famiglia che utilizziamo quotidianamente.Il dispositivo arriva in una pratica e compatta confezione e non appena rimosso ho riscontrato una discreta QUALITA’ progettuale e costruttiva, con la scelta di materiali sufficientemente validi e ben assemblati, con un mix di acciaio ed abs che mi ha convinto.Si tratta di una PENDRIVE OTG dalla forma piuttosto classica ma GIREVOLE che mi permette di utilizzare la porta USB Type C presente nel MacBook, come in un iPhone recente , in un recente Google Pixel, ma anche la abituale USB-A di un mio notebook Windows ed una postazione fissa da scrivania e che messo subito alla prova ha presentato un innesto sufficientemente preciso e sicuro.Il dispositivo viene fornito senza nessun adattatore ma con un pratico SISTEMA DI ROTAZIONE che mi consente di scegliere se inserirlo in una porta USB type C oppure la classica A, scelta progettuale che mi è piaciuta perchè mi consente con una certa praticità di utilizzarlo anche con un computer che non presenta porte più recenti.Tuttavia nel mio caso mi è piaciuto perchè mi ha risolto alcune problematiche di trasferire dei file da dispositivi differenti, Google, come MacBook ed anche ad un notebook windows.Sebbene infatti normalmente scatto le fotografie con le mie due fedeli reflex Nikon, ci sono circostanze in cui non disdegno ovviamente anche le fotocamere di smartphone recenti, con il quale registro anche dei filmati e questa pendrive mi è piaciuta proprio per la facilità con la quale posso trasferire i file senza un collegamento via cavo o messaggistica.La PENDRIVE ha una capienza di 128 GB che verificando nelle impostazioni è realmente di 117 GB e per il suo utilizzo non ho dovuto scaricare alcun programma.Si tratta di un programma che ho trovato piuttosto semplice ed intuitivo nel suo utilizzo e che occupa poco spazio in un iPhone come in un iPad e che mi ha già permesso in alcune circostanze di trasferire dei file locali, sia FOTO che VIDEO, ma volendo è possibile anche con quelli MUSICALI.Una volta inserita la pendrive in un Google Pixel 8, come nel MacBook, un notebook Windows il dispositivo è stato riconosciuto all’istante non appena collegato.La velocità del trasferimento delle immagini avvengono con una tempistica sufficientemente rapida, sebbene non fulminea, sia per alcuni documenti come soprattutto per foto e filmati, mentre la loro lettura su un altro dispositivo, come per esempio un iPad od un MacBook sono piuttosto veloci, con una apertura immediata dei file presenti sulla pendrive.Si tratta di caratteristiche che quindi non mi hanno fatto gridare al “miracolo”, ma nell’uso saltuario le ritengo accettabili.Sia nelle porte USB-type C, come nelle classiche USB-A, il pendrive si innesta bene senza difficoltà nel sforzi e posso rimuoverlo con la stessa semplicità.Nell’uso quotidiano mi è piaciuto il DESIGN di questa pendrive, dalla forma classica per questi dispositivi di memoria, con un pratico sistema di rotazione che permette di scegliere la tipologia di porta e dalle DIMENSIONI contenute facilmente trasportabili di 3.8 cm x 0.7 cm x 0.8 cm, con un foro terminale che mi facilita l’aggancio ad un laccetto ma purtroppo SENZA alcun TAPPO protettivo del terminale di cui ammetto sento un pò la mancanza.Il RIVESTIMENTO in metallo satinato chiaro non è male, come anche il PESO limitato a soli 8 grammi che rendono questa pendrive agganciabile a qualsiasi laccio o portachiavi, tuttavia ci avrei aggiunto un tappo protettivo almeno da inserire al terminale che resta a vista e che potrebbe danneggiarsi.Si tratta quindi di una pendrive che per praticità mi ha sufficientemente soddisfatto, perchè nonostante alcuni elementi che potrebbero essere migliorati, mi consente con una sufficiente praticità di visionare quanto è presente su alcuni dispositivi di famiglia, trasferirli e salvarli su un computer od altro dispositivo compatibile, non solo foto e filmati, ma anche volendo dei file musicali e documenti.La velocità probabilmente per alcuni non è il suo punto di forte ma le operazioni di trasferimento comunque non si bloccano ed arrivano sempre al termine, basta ruotare la pendrive e scegliere la porta di innesto.Nel complesso mi sento quindi di promuovere questa pendrive proposta da JOIOT a 12.99 euro nel momento della recensione della prima metà di giugno 2024, un costo che valuto equilibrato per le caratteristiche del dispositivo.Per ciò che riguarda la spedizione e consegna da parte di Amazon sono state come sempre efficienti.Mi auguro che questa recensione possa esservi di aiuto e se avete dubbi o quesiti non esitate a chiedere.

Review: Come da titolo secondo la mia opinione questa piccola pendrive l’ho trovata molto comoda per le sue dimensioni. Attaccata a un portachiavi sempre pronta si inserisce nello smartphone e via scarichi e carichi ciò che vuoi. Il materiale non è di altissima qualità lo senti al tatto, però l’ effetto metallo si sente. Una pecca che ho riscontrato e la eccessiva lentezza, per questo la consiglio solo per trasferimenti di piccole dimensioni.
