Review: This was exactly what I was looking for. The brackets mount easily and the plates worked exactly as expected. I used these to run all my wires for my living room setup. I have a flat screen wall mounted and only a wall mounted shelf for my PC, switch, router, and, modem. Needless to say I had wires everywhere. I used the brackets to get a rough outline to cut the hole and then used a drywall hand saw to shave off any bits needing to be removed for a snug but not too tight fit. After putting the bracket in I used my finger to hold the tab while I tightened the screw on the tab. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN, remember these brackets are plastic. I found that once the tab was snug against the back side the bracket was in there very solidly. As long as you have a good bracket install the brissle plate and cover plate should fit just fine.

Review: I bought these wall plates to feed wires through a wall as part of a media center that will be the central location for all of my home’s wiring need, including but not limited to coaxial, ethernet, and speaker cables. After searching for many different options, including recessed steel boxes and server racks, I bought this product as the cheaper and simpler option, and couldn’t be happier with it. It not only allowed me to complete my project but it also allowed me to do so cheaply, efficiently, and I believe better than other options (the idea of having a steel box potentially blocking my WiFi signal made no sense to me).The product itself is well made and easy to use. I cut my dry wall slightly smaller than the actual wall plate’s opening, which allowed me to hammer it in, I additionally screwed it in to “catch” the drywall but the fit was so tight that it was probably not necessary. After feeding the wires through the wall, the wall plates, the mesh, and the cover, a few screws make for a very nice, neat, and professional finish. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking to get multiple wires through a wall, especially when feeding a lot of wires and/or wires of different types for which specific wall plates will be difficult/impossible to find.
