Review: Matches my original full priced E231 display perfectly for less than half the price, what’s not to like!

Title: Well packed and perfect working order
Review: The monitor arrived quickly. It was very securely packed in what looked like an original box, clean and with few marks or blemishes. No dead pixels. It works perfectly and I was particular pleased with the inclusion of one each of VGA, HDMI and Display Port cables as well as a power cable. The stand is very adjustable – height, angle and rotation. This level of adjustability is hard to find even on much more expensive monitors. Ideal for office work. I am very pleased.

Title: Quality screen but likely to fault in certain places
Review: Reconditioned: Minor faultsI’ve had this screen for nearly a month now, minor fault and all and it is still working fine. Other than the fault. I looked this screen up on a famous auction site and there was one available with a large fault in the exact same location, that being vertically from the point of the VGA cable, top to bottom.Said fault on this monitor: a single row of vertical, rainbow pixels which display when certain colours are required onscreen- dark blue, dark green, off-blacks and so on. The reason why I kept the screen is I found a way to work around it, and otherwise, with the clarity, range of colour, image quality (meaning detail, every detail in an image can be seen clearly) and lack of glare, it is a great screen. It’s heavy and has a rotating stand, which means you can use it portrait or landscape. With vertical, portrait use the fault can be avoided on-screen or mostly unobtrusive. You can also stack windows rather than awkwardly layering them on a landscape screen. Without the portrait function I would’ve returned this, which by the way must be done yourself and this screen is very heavy. If you intend to use this screen in landscape mode and to play games, or watch movies in fullscreen you will find said fault extremely annoying. I mostly use it for static images, or where the majority of the screen will remain static, so the fault is often not present at all depending on what is displayed. So be aware this screen is likely (as part of the build) to have a pixel fault which can be avoided in certain use scenarios but would be troublesome in common use scenarios such as games or movie/tv watching.

Title: A great product – pity not still made
Review: Quite expensive for a 9 year old monitor but this is a sought after HP EliteDisplay monitor for good reasons. Clean condition, except for scratches on the base, and picture quality as new. Inflatable padding in the packaging is ingenious and prevents major damage but can cause minor problems by jamming in the switches due to air pressure. Almost returned for this reason but managed to free up the off/on switch and the others that offer a wide range of manual adjustments.
