Title: Takes time but works
Review: Used it for cleaning sisal carpet . I left it on for 24 hours. It seemed not to work except for removing colour so I brushed it off. Within three more days the stain had gone and the colour had returned to normal .

Review: I cleaned my carpet with this in less time than my old steam vac with no wet carpets! I rented the Host cleaning machine from a carpet dealer for $20 for a day and in an hour an a half of effortless pushing the machine around a 20″ X 20″ carpet and two hallways was done. Heavy traffic areas and stains gone. The material is damp when you put it down, says to let dry an hour but i went about an hour and a half or longer. Took a break, had lunch then went over it all with my Dyson. Dumped the Dyson about 3 maybe 4 times. Carpet looks and smells wonderful. I ordered another shaker pack to have on hand for any stain problems. I will never have a carpet steam cleaned again. Last time, the company left a huge floor drying fan for 36 hours before it was dry! This cleaning job looks as good as what they did. Plus in 5 months the heavy traffic stains had returned. He explained they are in the pad and they work back through the carpet. I can do it myself in less time and with out drying fan running 36 hours straight! Love this stuff.

Review: I have used ‘Host’ for many years. It is superior for picking up pet hair and dust so if you have pets that leave their fur all over the place this will be very helpful. This product does not do well with stains, better stick to a wet product for that. The ‘Shaker Pack’ label is misleading. One would expect to see an inner lid with holes in it to shake the product onto the floor. Not so. However I did not find that a big deal; it still can easily be sprinkled out and spread with a broom. Beware the larger box of ‘Host’ from Racine Industries. It is a rip off copy. Racine Industries went out of business over a year ago and what is now sold as their ‘Host’ is not the real deal and you can’t get a refund.
