Review: After getting into adult coloring a couple of years ago and buying colored pencils in different shapes, sizes and formulas, I quickly realized that I needed a good sharpener (especially for my delicate Prismacolor pencils). I’ve tried everything from high-end, small, portable “twist” sharpeners to electric sharpeners to other brands of hand crank sharpeners with little or no success (and a lot of frustration).And that brings me to my Helix. It fits EVERY pencil I own no matter the shape, diameter or formula. The protective material on the grip inside the opening ensures that there are no “tooth marks” left on the pencils after I take them out. Using the Helix, I have sharpened chunky Brutfuner Squares, triangle shaped pencils, and yes even PRISMACOLOR pencils and have never been disappointed.USAGE TIP: I sharpen a graphite only pencil (it doesn’t have to be artist grade) after about every 20 uses or so because it helps to keep the blades sharp. If I’m sharpening hard, inexpensive colored pencils like Crayola, I will sharpen a graphite only pencil after about 10 uses.

Review: Afila muy bien los lápices. Diferentes puntas como largas y afiladas y menos largas y con buena punta.Se desmonta fácilmente para limpiar la cuchilla si se atora una punta (se me atoró una de lápices de acuarela). Ahi mismo dice que no es conveniente para lápices de pasteles porque es fácil que se rompan aunque yo le saqué punta a tres con mucho cuidado, pero mejor usarlos con lápices de colores o grafito. Me gustó mucho. Practico cómodo, compacto.
