Review: Being an electrician, I’ve always been funny about cable routing, and this fantastic tool lets me see pretty much where things are. The sensitivity control is very useful and helps detect any false positives that sometimes show. In all, I’d definitely recommend this.

Title: Worth every penny.
Review: I’m by no means a professional electrician and wouldn’t attempt to repair anything that I haven’t fixed before, but these are incredibly useful even for a hobbyist, very accurate and has saved me from a shock already, worth every penny spent.

Review: Wasn’t sure about this to begin with, the price and features seemed so out of proportion when compared with say £40 fluke tester that has no range or light functions.I cannot comment on longevity, only had it a couple of weeks and it may stop working tomorrow – who knows.What I can say is that it’s easy to use, detects current (perhaps too sensitive in top range giving false positives and not sensitive enough in low range, but you have 9 settings to play with), LED function is useful and bright and it actually seems to be fairly well made.My only gripe (not really though) is that it won’t function with rechargeable batteries.

Review: Works great when right up against a wire. Works OK-ish through walls. Also finds dodgy circuits conducting into other metal units nearby. Worth getting, might save your bacon one day.

Title: doesnt work from rechargeables
Review: not much to say yet, done basic testing, it seems to work, but cant be turned on via rechargeable batteries, so prepare to use standard batteries. some may say it’s normal, but for me it’s a massive massive downside, would gladly return just for this reason, but I don’t feel that my personal preferences of battery use is a reasonable return reason, plus it’s cheap. and i accumulated 1 million standard batteries by now (that came supplied with 1 million devices I have) so have to use them some day anyway.. but in 2021.. standard batteries… that’s weak.
