Title: Great replacement for a broken Weller stand
Review: Bought to replace the stand on my Weller iron. Nice weight, and holds the iron securely.The brass wire tip cleaner is much better than sponges, as it doesn’t draw heat away from the tip as much.Most importantly, it surrounds the hot tip better so inadvertently draped test leads won’t get melty melty.

Review: So far I am impressed with this soldering iron stand, it is a good weight, which means it is more stable than others I have used. The integrated cleaning pot is of good quality and does not interfere with the use of the stand. As others have stated the colour is not as white as the image, more creamy yellow but this is not an issue for me. the only reason it did not receive 5 stars is there was some slight scuffing to the lip which suggests my stand had received previous use before I received it.The stand is worth the extra in cost as it seems sturdy enough to last a long time.

Review: A must have if you have one of those Hakko desoldering tools. I always found they would start rotating when laid down. And sure enough, sometimes the tip would then hit something plastic.These are reasonably priced and hold the Hakko tool in a good position without tipping over. Nice simple holder.

Review: Aesthetically pleasant, unlike common wiry holders.Very stable base design.I like that the opening of brass wire pot opens more upwards than my former primary.The pot stays well in its hole and bottom rests on the surface below, not in a shallow cup of the stand.Pot bottom has 3 small rubber feet. Nice touch.Got this for my new Fnirsi digital iron and the iron seats VERY well in the holder.The pleasant surprise was a tab under the top that keeps the iron fairly well aligned in holder, rather than hot tip resting against underside of the top.Even BETTER surprise is the end of the tab is bent forward [pic with red circle]. This prevents my tip (wider than the shaft) from slipping out when bumped! Picking up iron normally tilts it right to easily slip out.The variety of long tips I have slip into the top hole grid well with plenty of separation from loaded hot iron tip. Better organization and easy to spot and load tip I want before firing up.I now have the right holder for a nifty digital iron, and a place for tip cleaning pot that doesn’t take up room on the silicone matt.I recommend ditching a stand alone iron holder and leveling up to this. it’s worth the couple extra bucks if you play with hot iron regularly and desire to improve the experience
