Title: Better than expected, good item.
Review: So we all know this design of the hairdryer is ‘inspired’ loosely by a very, very expensive luxury brand of hairdryers and fans etc. But its only in the gist of the format, not in any attempt to directly replicate.I know where the underlying technology comes from, in China very high speed motors were developed for radio control models and drones but are now being applied to use in mini vacuums, air dusters and hairdryers. Their very high speed means they can move a lot of air in a compact size.This hairdryer feels surprisingly well made in a White pearl plastic with Rose gold trim. There is an intake filter at the bottom of the handle with a magnetically held cover.The cable is of good quality, there is even, curiously, an inline switch (probably a carry over from other countries, not really needed in the UK) and – hooray! – there is a proper UK compliant fused plug!The electronics are quite sophisticated, there is the facility for the handle to auto detect your holding it so it automatically stops and starts as you put it down and pick it up. This was off by default but easily reactivated.From the control on the handle, there are two speeds and temperatures of cold, warm, hot and cycling hot/cool. All indicated by the change in colour of the LED illumination ring on the back of the head.There is a separate button for a quick return to cool air.The dryer sounds like a muted jet engine, its not that loud at all really, pretty good for a powerful dryer. It certainly blows hard! despite only venting through a few small slots, its very strong.And its hot! the lower setting will do most, on high heat setting your going to want to keep it moving quickly, its bordering on too hot. The cycle mode doesn’t really work very well as its a very slow cycle between hot-cold-hot. Too hot for too long before the cool cycle to take some heat out of the hair.There is a nozzle to concentrate flow if needed, it clips on firmly using magnets.Rated power is 1600 Watts.All in all a really good quality product we are delighted to use.

Title: Nothing exciting, but a nice compact design
Review: This comes in simple packaging that goes with the minimalist design.These are my main highlights for this product:✔ minimalist design (except for the gold parts)✔ compact and portable✔ temperature throttling for safety✔ power cutoff if not being held (optional)✖ not the most powerful✖ air intake bad design✖ surprisingly noisyFirst impressions are that this is a small device designed for travel. This is indeed the case, and there is a bit of power loss because of this; the flow of air is smaller and does not extend as far as a normal design. It is still fine for 90% of situations, but will not blow dry as fast as the best.However, we should also take into account that this only costs £40, which is reasonable for a travel unit with this specification.The air intake is in a bit of an unfortunate position, and is easily covered by a sleeve or other clothing. I still haven’t learned after doing it about a dozen times. Obviously this has the potential of shortening the life of the device, although the thermal safety system should help with that.All the other ergonomics are fine, and the four heat and two power settings give a decent variety of output for all situations. Build quality is good, nothing loose or creaking, no rattling either. Of course only time will tell, so I will update this review in six months if anything significant has changed.For the current price of £40 (via Amazon voucher) I can happily recommend this to anyone wanting a compact and portable hairdryer.
